How to unlock the Horizon Hardcore achievement in Forza Horizon 3 - Definitive Guide
So this achievement while it is a typical grinding achievement for Forza has been made a lot easier in Forza Horizon 3.
First of all, take note of the achievement description it says Complete and not Win, so you don't have to win all the championships just finish them, I tested this since to the best I could remember about my first few championships I never didn't win any so purposely didn't win the final one and still got the achievement just to make sure.
Each race route in the game has its own Championship and there are 63 in total, the map will indicate if you have or have not complete a championship from the certain route. Sometimes some of the routes will have their championships unavailable as either all the default championship routes haven't appeared yet (you get new routes/events whenever you level up a Festival Site) or you just haven't discovered them yet (undiscovered routes appear on the map as the coloured circles with a Question Mark (?) inside them), I'm not sure which of those or if both of those scenarios is the case, I didn't get to test this out before I thought of it.
Now onto the tips to make this a hell of a lot easier.
The default championships will have 3 to 5 or 6 events in them. However in Forza Horizon 3 they have introduced Blueprints which allows you to make your own events such as Bucket Lists, Exhibition Races and Championships, so taking advantage of this you create your own Championship Blueprints that can be a lot shorter then the default Championships, these do count towards the achievement and finishing a Championship at the route you create it at.
Championships do have a few restrictions, they need to include the route you started the Championship at and need a minimum of 3 races.
Other then those you can change whatever you want, type of cars, weather conditions and for circuit races the number of laps. I mostly used the Hyper Cars for road races and Extreme OffRoad for races that took place off the designated roads. (just get use to Keira saying the same thing over and over should you do this).
So now I have two recommended options:
If you do have the Fast Travel Anywhere Service perk unlocked from the Festival Boss Skill Shop
- Go to the starting route.
- Create your own Blueprint, select whatever series you like.
- Remove all other routes and add your two favourite circuit routes, set their lap counter to 1 and setup the weather/day conditions too your liking if you wish (make sure to do so on the default event as well), then start the Championship and fast travel wherever you need to go to next.
- The reason for doing 2 circuit races is that you can do most circuits in about 1 minute in a Hyper Cars event compared to most Point-to-Points that take around 3+ minutes so its just faster, I found 2 Circuit races at the Top of the Outback area of the map close together that I enjoyed so did a lot of 1 lap races around them and could travel between them quickly as well without Fast Travel.
- One draw back to consider is you get less XP/Credits/Fans for a 1 lap race then 3+ lap races.
If you do not have the Fast Travel Anywhere Service perk unlocked from the Festival Boss Skill Shop and want to start on this before you do as that park takes a lot of skill points to unlock, or just want to make the Championships events quicker to complete early on:
- Go to the starting route.
- Create your own Blueprint, select whatever series you like.
- Remove all other routes and then setup routes that start near the end points of your race so you spend less time traveling between events. Point-to-Point events will draw the route on the map if your unsure which point is the end of the race however they do normally start near the route starting circle you activate the event from (I don't remember any that don't) and circuit races start and finish near the route starting circle you activate the event from.
- Setup the weather/day conditions too your liking if you wish (make sure to do so on the default event as well), then start the Championship
One last thing to note, when you start a championship it will load up the first/default event straight away, but you can back out of this and go and start the championship at another event that makes up the championship, so if you don't have the Fast Travel Perk and have a circuit races nearby your Point-to-Point default races you can back out and do the circuit race first instead of racing half way across the map and having to come back and doing the circuit race.
Well that is a lot more than I was expecting to write, I hope I haven't missed anything or made anything unclear, let me know if you find anything unclear or have any suggestions on how this might be improved.

I love the way you laid this out. Extremely easy to follow and will save a lot of time! Thanks.

This is a solution for whoever is stuck at 62 out of 63 championships completed like I was. This will work for exhibition as well. I'm not sure if it will work if you are stuck at 61, 60 and so on, but I think it is worth the shot.
This was first reported by the user Doc Buddha on the Forza Horizon 3 forums.
Warning: This is a partial solution and won’t fix your in-game progress, but it will get you the achievement.
Warning2: I did this remaining online on my xbox, I'm not sure how it would go down if your console is offline
Warning3: Read each step entirely before doing it, or you risk losing your save file
Ok, so step by step:
1. With your game closed go to the "manage game" page on your Xbox and scroll down to "Saved data". Put the cursor on your save (I’m not sure what happen if you hit “delete all” but I’m not risking it, and neither should you in my opinion), hit the menu button (or start for the old school) and chose "delete saved data". Now, this is important, chose "Delete from console" because you will want your original save to remain in the cloud so we can sync it back later.
2. Now open your game and wait for the main menu. In the main menu when you hit A your save will start synchronizing from the cloud. Immediately hit “Cancel”. Xbox will give you two options, select "Stop Syncing". That will start a new game without sending your saved game to the cloud nor replacing the one that is already there.
3. The boring part. Play the game from the beginning. If you have problems with Exhibitions not counting properly it will be really quick, the first exhibition you complete will unlock you the achievement (assuming you are at 62 out of 63). If your problem is with the championships (like me) it will be a little bit of a task as the first Championship only unlock after you have opened a second festival and upgraded it for the first time (I did it with surfer's paradise, not sure how it goes with Outback). But as soon as you complete the championship the achievement should unlock. (I personally was stuck at 62 out of 63 championships completed, but I assume if you need more you can just play the amount of championships you need for the achievement to unlock).
4. Now that you have your achievement close the game, go back to "manage game", delete your LOCAL save again (just like in step one above).
5. Open your game again and hit A on the main menu. It will now sync your original save back into the game. It will still show the incorrect number of championships completed and you won’t have 100% progress, but hey, you have your achievement and your saved progress, so it's better than nothing I guess!

Yeah, this is bugged for me as well. Stuck at 95% percent, counts some championships, some not. (when I started new, the first new championship -after I unlocked my second Horizon festival site and upgraded it to stage two- didn't count for my percentage, remained at 95%)
Is it possible to obtain this achievement in coop campaign, probably not hosting this by myself but driving as an attendee? I don't want to close the game and start it new because I'm afraid it synchronizes with my online profile and overwrites everything. This is such a mess. :(

It's very strange, because the counter moved up from 95% to 96% yesterday. I've tried the solution by starting over but it was only possible to start one championship after I've upgraded my second Horizon festival site. The rest of the races were either exhibition races or danger signs, etc.
Co-op didn't count either, but I was playing with a guy who already owned all the championships himself. His achievement unlocked regularly.
I'm going to watch this progress, might be that it increases by another percent within a couple of days until it finally unlocks. Some other colleagues reported that some of their other achievements were bugged initially but unlocked after a few days.
Nonetheless, thanks for the workaround. +1
[edit]
The achievement was finally unlocked, but it did not pop in-game. (the dashboard shows that I've already won this a day before)
So, maybe, if you have all 63 championships finished, yet the cheevo is not there, just give it some time to unlock eventually.

While unlocking Festivals, you will get Routes on your Map. Each Route consists of Exhibition and Championship. Championships are usually 3 to 5 events where you go from point A to point B or drive a circuit a few laps. Do this for all 63 Router for this achievement.
It also counts if you run someone else's blueprint; these can be shorter (distance-wise), faster (better cars) or even more fun. It's up to you which one to choose but once you choose, you cannot go back.
This guide was translated automatically.
The easiest way to save time and speed up your progress is to run your own championships on each track, setting up only three races, the 1st is the main track, and the 2nd and 3rd short circuit tracks with 1 lap, each such championship takes 10-15 minutes.
