How to unlock the Street Racing Champion achievement in Forza Horizon 3 - Definitive Guide

The street races and midnight battles are straightforward races, much like the usual exhibition races. However, a total of 50 wins in head-to-head races are required to unlock every street race, which can take some time if you don't speed it up like I did.

Go to the airport in the outback part of the map and challenge a drivatar that is heading west (left when looking at the map) that is also past halfway down the runway. At this location the end point will be on the side road next to you. Cut across the gap between the roads and you can often finish in around 5-10 seconds.

You have to win 50 head to head races? Or just complete 50 if then?

Not sure on the street races (15 maybe) but there are only four midnight battles - BMW M3 (PI 900), Buick Regal (PI 800), Mazda RX-7 (PI 900) and Lambo Murcielago LP670-4 SV (PI 995).

The last one is a right bastard!

Why would you need help on how to win them? They're just normal races. If you're struggling, bump the difficulty down.

This solution isn't aimed at people who "does not even know how to unlock them", it's a guide on how to unlock them faster. That should be obvious.

The airport deal is sweet! I ended up doing them in both directions and still only lost 2. As for 35 in 20 minutes, that is a gross exaggeration! No way HOSE A. I ended up going in the other direction because of the lack of contestants going away from the hangars. I started with about a dozen, and, it took a good hour plus. Still an up vote.

@KILLANEYROCKS I'm working through these, started off with Nissan GT-R Black Edition, have won every race (approx 16 so far) including 2 head to heads with it, don't try to use the absolute fastest car as the field obviously adjusts.

anyone else have issues in the midnight race with the Lamborghini? I'm racing with the same car but even if I'm a decent distance ahead of him, all of sudden during the last straightaway he goes a million miles an hour and speeds ahead of me. Ughgughguhg

Yes he's rubberbanding. You basicly have to use the rear view every 2 seconds and actively block him from overtaking.

Final race was so hard, I had to adjust the difficulty levels to its easiest, for the first time ever. In all my years of playing this series, I don't recall ever having it raining so much and so hard before!

Rammed the final Midnight Boss off (because this is Forza Horizon) in a Koenigsegg on Pro difficulty. They didn't move for the rest of the race. I daresay I straight up killed them.

+1 for me...but you don't say how many events (street races) and midnight battles we have to win to get the achievement after i beat 50 head-to-head races. thanks.

Actually the solution posted here is not about the winning street races or midnight battles, it is about unlocking them so it would be helpful to have about SOMETHING about actually winning the street races or midnight battles.
No downvote since it looks that a ton of people does not even know how to unlock them (even the games explains after each battle, "xx battle races to unlock more..."

There are 16 street races and 4 midnight battles to win
To unlock all the street races you need to win head to head races, I only did 48 head to head races, just driving nonstop, it was a good way to work on the drive down every road achievement

The races are fairly easy, a few tips are, get a car with good handling, some of the races are in the rain and there is a few including the last midnight battle which have very very tight corners, and you have to go around the roundabout on one race, urgh.
leave rewind on, the game has a nasty evil habit of leaving cars randomly around a building or corner.
and keep to an S1 or S2 class car.

Using a buggy is optimal whenever great handling is required, specifically Ariel Nomad.

Bugatti Veyron is great choice at max PI rating as if you take care on corners you can easily win

This achievement can be also unlocked with 2 other achievements simultaneously.
Create a convoy with an AI Drivatar in solo campaign (just use your horn near a Drivatar).
With only 1 Drivatar in your convoy, click on Anna and have 50 convoy races with him as you beat him in order to unlock all street races.
In this way you will also unlock the beating 10 convoy drivatars achievement (Eat My Dust) and driving in convoy for 100 miles achievement (Got Ourselves a Convoy).

This achievement can sometimes confuse people. At any point in the game, you see drivatars (cars with names over it) that you can challenge. You need to challenge 50 cars and win it fifty times. The easiest is on the airfield. Start at the eastern end of the runway and drive to the west. Usually a drivatar is in front of you; challenge it. The race finish line is at the west of the airfield on a parallel road. Just cross the sandy border to win it easily.

Fifty of these wins will unlock a handful of street races which are marked on your map with blue signs. Complete these races and some Midnight races will unlock (marked by large blue signs). Complete these races as well for the achievement.

to open these races in free mode, you need to win 1v1 races against regular drivecars, after winning the race, an inscription will appear how many more races need to be won in order for new races to appear
