Forza Horizon 4

This happened to me just now, I beat it then it didn't unlock. I then restarted but nothing, then I did the Leviathan achievement and that popped the first time. Hope it's not buggered.

Edit: re-attempted Kraken 3 more times but then it popped like 3 hours later.

One thing I would add to this guide: turn the difficulty to the easiest. This allows you to start on 4th position so there's less time spent trying to pass others. Playing pinball with the others will cost you a lot of time in the beginning so 4th place start avoids at least most of it completely.

I've done it the regular way, and no achievement. Not sure if this is broken since the last update

Unlocked for me the next day, right after I fast traveled to Fortune Island

Got it first try @5:30 with DJS Tune in winter!

So I did it with 5.59 and some miliseconds and it didn't pop...kind of annoyed

Popped after a new start of console and game. Takes few minutes after the new start.

5:46 on my first try and I was heavy on the breaking a lot of the time.

Tried it with the blueprint did not work. Then I finished 1st in under 6 mins twice with the correct car and No achievement. I even tried a hard restart 2 times still no achievement. Kinda annoying!! Hope this pops randomly one day.
If anyone has a different solution please help. 🤞🙂🤞

Finally just popped while traveling to fortune island. I beat the time again about 11hrs ago and then turned the game off. Not sure what’s up but it’s definitely glitchy for some people. The only thing I can suggest is when you finish the race there is 2 times posted. Lap time and final time. Make your under 6 mins with the final time target. It usually a bit higher than your lap time. Even though it’s only 1 lap.

As others have said, this seemed to require a game restart to actually pop. Weird.

Between the comments and the solution, Great thanks. I tried doing it without downloading a tune first and failed by about 20 seconds. Second time best it by 15 but no achievement. Resetting the console and game didn't work. Travelling back to great Britain did. Thanks.

Used Maka91s tune and got it first try. Great solution, thumbs up.

Did it in an S2 tuned to 976

I used my own tuning, time under 6 minutes. Look for my tuning if you want.

Why the hell did you(forza) make this achievement so fricking hard to get? 20-10 seconds to much. To many twists and turns, always having to slow down... other achievements are just as hard. I've tried tuning my car like others suggested and nothing seems to help. Cut out a few twists and turns and it'll actually be able to get... not sure why I even bothered trying 100 or more times anyways... should actually be able to get the achievements... not make them impossible to get.

Running into Absconder's issue. Hopefully upon this restart I'll unlock it.

Glitchy one. I did it in 5:52 and nothing, did the 'leviathan slayer' which popped immediately along with 'the island conqueror'. After re-starting the console it popped while was in the main menu

Same as MAJDI70. finished in 5.56.467 and it didn't unlock until I'd hard reset my console and was setting of to do the leviathon cheevo

It didn't pop for me either when I did it in 5:56 or so. Read through the above comments; restarted my xbox and reloaded the game and it popped in the garage menus.

If it helps for guidance - just past mid-point, after you’ve been zigzagging up hill, there’s a right turn where you then start going downhill. At that checkpoint I was at 3:13 and finished 5:46.

Restart console gents. that will sort it. It’s one of the laggiest achievements in the game. You won’t be locked out of it.

My achievement just popped a day later after completing it

Ah must be random but it appears that it will unlock eventually.

I'm unclear as to the requirements. Do I need to.win the event, or just finish it? Also, is the 6min the total time, or the lap time.

It is a 1 lap race lol

Managed to get this today. I completed it 3 or 4 times with 5:50, but didn’t pop. Closed the game, did a hard reset then launched it all up again. Still didn’t pop, so I tried one more time and the achievement popped in the middle of the Kraken. Annoying, but seems like a hard reset and a little patience is the way to go!

I eventually got this. I think I did it about eight times in all. First times maybe two months ago, just got it an hour ago. That makes me think it requires some forcing to unlock. Anyway, I read the above, I tried creating a route after doing it, didn't work. Hard reset, reload, redo, didn't work. Travelled back and forth between GB and FI a bit. Another hard reset. Started up and about 2 minutes into another repeat race the achievement popped.

Notes on the set-up. I did a 5.50ish run (set up as written below) where I did not use rewind (though it was on in prefs), then did a hard reset after travelling to GB and waiting for the little white circle in the bottom right to stop, reloaded the game and travelled from GB to FI to repeat. Normal Kraken event as per old patch. Raptor with Maka91 tune at 963. All the settings on the easiest, so New Racer difficulty, normal steering but auto-brake was on.

I had similar problems. I went into manage games and add-ons, deleted the save data and loaded the game back. Few minutes later the challenge popped. Also about the achievement itself. I put the racer skill set at above average. The top 3 will finish under 6 minutes, so if you beat them you should get the achievement.

Finished in 5:36 using Maka's tune and "Above Average" drivatar difficulty like Ganesh78 suggested. Popped as soon as the race was over.

Not popped. Hard reset. Start Kraken new. popped.

For me popped after few minutes later.

Unlocked on the first attempt in 5:45 !

Finished 1st place in the Winter Season !

Hard reset, launch game, launch The Kraken - instant pop up

I got this the moment I got to the celebration panel for The Kraken. You can basically blitz the AI after a while, just use rewinds.

Tunes can be found if you go to your garage and search for community tunings.

Blueprints? I dont know man. I saw you could use them before the recent update, but i suggest you to just do the normal race to make sure.

2 days later, but its finally popped

@Desi Shinobi, console was both restarted and even had the system cache cleared, the same day I completed it (5th), didn't help.

I had the same problem. Finished twice with about 5:50 but no achievement popped. I did a full shutdown of the Xbox One X and started again but even then no achievement was popping. So i decided to give the solution with creating an own short track a try which may have worked before the mentioned update. When starting to create the first checkpoint the achievement popped. Not sure if this was time related after the new start of the device or if the try for creating and own track made it work but if anyone may have this problem in the future this way is worth a try.

I tried this last night in a co-op session with a fellow club member and we didn't get the achievement to pop. We were in the Saleen S5S Raptor racing highly skilled drivatars in a 3 lap blueprint race. We placed 1-2 and both had 2 sub-6 minute laps. I expected that at least one of the hot laps would have qualified for the achievements.

Has anyone been awarded this achievement during a co-op race? Has anyone recently been awarded this for a multiple lap race, or must it be unlocked in a single player single lap race?

I used one of the community blueprints.
And finished the race in 14 seconds!

Was going to say if you didn't get it again, to hard reset the xbox to clear the Cache

No need to create a new race, just use an existing community one. Too easy!

The community blueprint worked like a charm for me, but if you want the Viking helmet, you have to run the full length, default (non-community) race.

How did you find one that works in such a short time by looking at them??

I created my own blueprint race...

But I done the same thing as soon as the create route became available for the Goliath on the main island for 3 laps in an FE car...

And thought let's see how this works... And it did

Edit: So I done it the normal way and still won't unlock. No idea what I'm doing wrong.

Yep did the race twice and didn't pop. Closed the game and relaunched it, popped as soon as I logged in.

Then new update lets you type in a keyword in search now. So much easier!

I used a community blueprint.
Finished the race in 1:12:673

I already found all chests, so i just found a custom race by someone else. Popped up on first try.

How do you do create route?

Does this solution even apply anymore?

If you read the update list... It says this and the SLAYER achievement need to be obtained properly...

I stuck it in unbeatable and came in 12th for an extra 100% bonus as a tester and it worked
