To unlock Horizon Promo, you must purchase the Sunflower Meadows house. Details for doing this can be found here: Solution for Stay Home In Forza Horizon 4

Horizon Promo is a "side-quest" activity where the goal is to photograph every single unique car model in the entire game. You will earn various rewards for reaching milestones along the way, including achievements for your first car and your 200th unique car.

Once you've unlocked Horizon Promo, the game will introduce you to the activity by asking you to take a picture of your car. The achievement will unlock after you take the picture.

After this, a camera icon will appear above any car model which you haven't photographed yet. To photograph these cars to work toward 200 cars, press

while racing, or press

and navigate to Photo Mode. You can then photograph the cars with

. Using

will allow you to save the photo, while using

will save you about 5-10 seconds of processing time (but won't give you the option of saving the photo). Thanks OctagonQontrol for the info about skipping the picture processing time with

If you'd already taken a picture of a car before the update went live, this achievement will retroactively unlock when you load the game!

Please note that they revised the Photo Options.

To quickly snap a picture of a car, press UP on the D-pad and then press Right Bumper. It will immediately tally all new cars in the Photo and you can easily use B a few times to return to the world.

Ofcourse, you will get a brief instruction from the game on you load it and need to take the first photograph.

So, I have bought this house and done some photos, will the achievements for the house and photos mysteriously come through later this week?

Yes. The achievements aren't currently live yet. They're planned to go live on June 18th. You'll be able to earn them then. If you've already met the requirements, they will most likely retroactively unlock once the achievements go live (this has been the case with previous updates to FH4).

I found a quick way of doing this is to start up the drag race by the horizon festival, the short one. Start it up, choose your car, hit the gas, and then enter photo mode and snap a pic of the whole line of cars using the quick RB way above. Finish the race, get some credits.

The key is to just turn around since the end is so close to the start, and start it back up and choose a different car. The game will line you up with a whole new group of cars. When you repeat the photo process, you can potentially get 7-8 new cars in the picture. Obviously, switching up the class of car makes this go faster, and it does slow down once the game stops lining you up with different cars.

You can also get photos of cars you haven't won or DLC'd yet since the game can potentially line you up against them as well.
