How to unlock the High Roller achievement in Forza Horizon 4 - Definitive Guide

If you cycle by New in the Challenge Browser, the first time a map is completed it awards 5200 XP. It'll probably take longer than the above methods but it might be more fulfilling.

Sometimes the Challenge Browser has issues if you cycle too quickly, where it will show the wrong category under the incorrect tab. Cycling again or backing out a tab and searching again tends to fix it.

Additionally, sometimes you'll see a map you've already completed show up under New without any plays. These will still award 5200 XP.

Also better if you find one with a Forza Edition car because they give you a 1000 or so bonus influence if you do.

Whilst you're going for the challenge card related achievements (Super7x7 77 cards) burn any cards that are not PR stunt related.

Any race to destination etc. cards are a complete waste of time and none of them have given me +1k towards the Super7 level. PR Stunt based challenges all give me between 1,400-1,600. It's too late for me but If done from the start you might get lucky and complete this before you get the Magnificent 77.

I agree with HoggyBear - PR stunts offer better rewards. I've played relatively new cards (about 20 people played) but if they give you an overly generous amount of time to complete them you still only get about 200xp despite them being new. Races can give decent rewards while doing the Super 7 but only if the time you have to complete leaves little room for error.

I was lucky enough to have found a 10sec drag race with a Forza Edition car in the "new" list. It never got marked as not new. So I played it about 20 times for my last few levels. I guess you can always make a track with a dummy account and then play it with your main account.

I’m fairly sure you gain 5000 influence from your first attempt each day, that’s what it’s felt like the last couple of days anyway so you could use that to help boost to the end

Half of the new cards you can't even understand b/c they are all in different languages. Others are intentionally hard/view locked or rewind restricted just to be cute.

0

By Miojo666 on 23 Feb 2022 00:03
@Miojo: That is because it seems to reward based on position on leaderboard or how many have played it before and regular Super7 7-Challenges Trials, give mixed challenges and so also those with many players already played.

When you do new not done yet, you get the 5.200 XP.

By ALoneWolf42 on 26 Sep 2022 03:23
It's worth adding that, if you're lucky, certain cards will continue giving you 5,200XP for a while, and then still give you a few thousand. You don't have to abandon the card you've just done if it gave you a huge amount of XP.

Sometimes you do have to back out of the screen to get it to cycle. Additionally, sometimes ones you've already done will appear again with 0 plays and will still award 5200 XP.

Sometimes you get unlucky and the entire refreshed group is difficult. Your best bet is to keep refreshing and trying to find some easy ones, however a lot of the maze ones you can just bypass and head straight to the finish line. I'd certainly do the 7 Super7s first though since you have to do that anyway.

I kept doing the same new one over and over, kept getting 5200 XP each time. Went from level 6 to 10 just doing that very quickly. I liked it and it kept popping up under new (if it didn't, I went back and tried again as it takes 2 or 3 tries sometimes).

Every new challenge I have tried has given just 200 XP.

Edit: I wasn't giving the challenges enough time to load - so was probably doing All Time Greats from under the New section.

I think they will patch this, as they haven't even started doing their hard challenges with greater rewards,

Also if the challenge has a Forza Edition Car, it adds another 1040 to the total. I just did one where I got the 5200 base + another 1040 or so for around 6240 XP total.

Also as an FYI for those who want a sense of how quick this scan go: the jump from level 9 to level 10 for me was about 7 races at 5200XP per race.

Do not vote when you finish the card(s). It appears that they are removed from the 'new' pool once they have accumulated enough votes? I did the same one many times over at 5k each (after finding a short way to solve a maze), picking 'cancel' on the vote screen each time.

Also, be sure to pay it forward by creating some 'new' tracks for others to do when you are done.

I scrolled new challenges and every one I completed was 5200xp including if I played them before. I avoided the ones with the controller in the top left corner as well. Seems to be the best method in my opinion. Also as other have stated, do the seven squared achievement first to save time.

Two thumbs up! This is a good way to guarantee 5200 per challenge. Just make sure you select one that has not been played before. I made the mistake of selecting a challenge that was played only ONCE, 200 XP. Bahhhhh!

Not sure why some of the challenges that have only been played once give 200XP. Most give a high amount but the odd one only provides 200XP.

The worst are the troll ones with titles like "You should be able to beat" etc. And then you load and it's 400k skill points in 2 mins using a car that is undrivable but the creator likes it for some reason.

I've also realised that a huge amount of people enjoy driving cars with 1000+hp straight to the rear wheels but is jittery in handling as all hell. Not fun at all.

Going through this grind right now and I can say that there is no rhyme or reason for the influence for tracks. I had one challenge that had two plays and it gave me 200. I had another track with a few thousand plays that gave me 296. Really tired of Horizons at this point.

Just knocked out all this DLC tonight. I was also getting mixed influence rewards from New but after I started doing cards that had zero plays (no controller icon in the top left) I was getting 5200 each time, without fail.

Obviously the quality will vary, but I focused on anything with a time under 1:30, and then either ‘speed trap’, ‘reach the destination’, or ‘distance jump’ cards. Most of these were not too difficult, and if they were, I didn’t end up wasting much time because the event was short anyway.

Fifteen minutes of driving soured by 3 hours of wading through garbage. New challenges made this doable, the hard part was finding cards to do that aren't utter crap. Stupid ramps, drag races facing the wrong direction or starting behind a wall, or snow all get quit and dislike votes.

Just wanted to say, now that I'm 100% of the 'Super 7' achievements, that this update has to be the most un-thought-out updates in Horizon history. So much that could have been better. I've never really liked achievements that take hours of tedious grinding to complete. Glad it's done.

If they have a number and a controller on the challenge, it means it's been played before and therefore will only reward 200 points

I’ve figured out why it doesn’t show new sometimes, it’s because I scroll through the tabs too quick (RB) and shows all time greats category instead of new. The solution is to scroll to all time greats wait for the images to load and then go to the new tab.
Works everytime

drive a Forza Edition car to get 1,650 (i didnt catch the exact number, but it was 1k something, less than 2k) more!

edit: I just drove the Zonda FE and Capri FE, got the 5,200, but no bonus 1k+? it was a new event too?

By iRocZL1jen on 13 Dec 2020 14:20
There are lots of events under new but they've all had thousands of plays, not quite sure I understand.

Edit : re-read the guide. When you go into challenge browser, page through each tab one at a time until the images load and then tab over again, repeat until you get to new. It will then have loaded correctly and will give you 5200 per challenge

Fastest way to do this by far is with slight manipulation of the "new" browser.

When you complete a track that has no completions on it you are awarded 5200xp, and if you can find the right tracks in new you can complete a track in less than a minute and with load times (at least on the series x) I'm probably 15-20k xp every 5 minutes.

Before you start this achievement go and do the seven squared and build achievements and get them out of the way, and then you can just start grinding this one (most likely you will get the hot wheels and lego achievements passively like I did).

--> go to the horizon super 7 tab in the menu, go to challenge browser, and look at the "new tab"

Now the most frustrating part about this is finding an easy and quick track, lots of the tracks are just garbage and not playable, and lots of others are super try hard times that you likely would have to practice just to beat. When I was looking I focused on tracks with less than 2m completion in the description, and mainly destination or speed trap tracks (a lot of them were very easy or you could cut the track early and blow their time away). I also had very good luck with the ferrari 599x challenges as there were lots of quick easy ones on the interstate highway area.

Now when you complete a quick easy track, "like" the track and load up the new browser again. I think it takes a bit of time for the servers to sync up so a lot of the time that exact same track is going to be in the new tab again except it still won't have any plays on it (controller icon in the corner of the card) so you can just play that same track over and over again. I had a couple really fast tracks that I was able to play 4-5 times in a row very fast and was able to grind this achievement out in like an hour and a half.

Also a random little bug that's quite beneficial, when you cycle over to the "new" tab just go once more over to the "friends and followed" tab, and then go back to new and for some reason it will pull an extra 10 cards for you to look at as options, and there is an even better chance one of your easy tracks will show up again to play again.

Oh also a quick note if you cycle over to "new" too fast it will bug out and pull the wrong set of cards, so just cycle over to it slowly and give it time to load properly.

This isn't the most fun way to do it but there is also nothing I found fun about this dlc so this is how you just get it over with.

Drift is king of rank progression. If you’re decent at drifting, here’s how to rack up nearly 5k per challenge:
1. Scroll to “Challenge Browser”
2. Search the following title: “DOUGHNUT DRIFT”
3. Select the challenge by the creator: “HOURLYTHYME9065”
4. Hit the 32k target in 22 seconds to win 5k quick
5. Rinse and repeat

4,177 per run but consistent. I’d recommend changing your driving settings to make it easier.
Breaking - ABS OFF
Traction control - off
Stability control - off
Shifting - manual
When it starts shift to 3rd gear then drift away; tap the gas here and there, you don’t have to hold pedal to the metal.

I recommend first knocking out "Seven Squared". Then, through the task selection menu, go to the NEW tab, but do not switch tabs so quickly that the rest are loaded. There, choose at your own discretion, but remember which ones are easy and fast, since they appear again quite often. For completing you will receive 5200 points, sometimes less, but most of them are the maximum.

In the "New" tab, select tests without a gamepad icon, i.e. those tests that no one has done before you, for these they consistently give 5200, regardless of the test itself, but be prepared that most of them are crooked, some are not at all feasible, if the test is crooked, immediately skip it, a lot of new ones are actively being made.

By the time you complete 77 cards, you will reach almost level 10. Performed tests with high stakes, as a rule they are all short.
