@SWYV MG Go to your profile on your xbox, then check achievements through it, by selecting FOrza Horizon 4. It might force-unlock the achievement.

I also ran it 3 times and UNDER the 8 min requirement (best was a 7:47, and, it did NOT pop-up. Now, I am wondering if it need to be STOCK??? I ran it with my tune at S2-917

Managed a 7:50.538 100% STOCK, DID NOT POP!!! Very disappointing!

Got the achievement by using a modified car. Finished the race with 28 seconds to spare.

I used the Gymkhana 10 ST by mistake first time, then used the 8 version and it popped. Also I used an S1 900 Rally tune with 7.33 lap. So shouldn't be hard.

Just did a 7.32 (with a few mistakes), and the achievement didn't pop either. What is the work around for this?

Had 15 sec to spare with a tuned car. Made some mistakes on the way. Very doable with this car.

Timing is not very tight at all. You can't have run a near perfect lap and got in by only 2 seconds. I had a messy lap and got it by 35 seconds. Easily achievable with a stable enough tune.

Let me rephrase. A near-perfect lap for a player who sucks at Forza as much as me :P

Have upvoted but could do with the addition of a mention of a *good* tune. The car is mostly horrible to drive (at least I find it ridiculously twitchy - but then I hate all the short wheelbase rally cars). Like Dwaggienite, I got it by all of 2s but hated every minute of it. Also find it amusing that in a Subaru I finished 1st easily (but well over 8mins), but in this thing I ended up 7th...

I have done it 3 times, easily under 8 minutes and the trophy didn't pop! grrr!

i've saved my tune, should be able to easily do it under 7.5 minutes, search for tenny80.

got mine to pop, do a hard reset of the xbox, load the game up wait a few minutes and it will pop.

Used a community event as well, finished it around 1 min or so.

its easy to do, i done it in like 7.30 something S1900 tune means easy complete

I just did this with a community blue print... and it works.. got it in like 10 seconds

It popped just now after a 1 km blueprint race!

Horrible achievement. 7:50 with a great tune from Maka91, and a *ton* of rewinding.

Not sure why you guys would have issues with this. 7:35 on first try with a S2 903 tune and the fence company is going to be very busy with just a couple rewinds.. Car is free.

FYI: I just maxed up the auto to S2 915 without downloading any particular tune , the track is not so hard and the car is not the best

7:52 with sloppy-ish driving with the car maxed. Worst part is that a new racer level drivatar did it in 7:50

Might be a little buggy for somebody or maybe just internet connection issues.
Already happened to me few times , my connection is not the best .
How did i solve ? i restarted the game and the achievement popped (not this cheevo) before the "welcome back " menu , during the loading screen.
Always check if the achievement is unlocked or not in the achievements App.

7.45 with S1 900 tune, no problemo

after finishing the race a few times under the time and nothing, I tried a few things and it just popped, hopefully one of these will help other people
Hard Reset of Xbox
Deleting save file from Console and get it to re-sync
starting the race on the custon blueprint 'Easy Leviathan slayer in seconds' turning the diffaculty up to 'Above average' did this twice - 2nd time coming in 2nd, it popped!

Achievement popped after a new start of console and game. Takes few minutes after the new start.

7:55 in the Stock version and I am so bad I never play online as I just constantly lose.

7:36 with a fully upgraded car on the first attempt with a mistake at the end that cost me at least 1,5 seconds. So if anyone has trouble, keep practicing, it's doable and you can pull it off!

Got it in winter, first try in 7:43

Had nearly 30 seconds to spare, doing it very horribly. Only had to rewind maybe 3 or 4 times due to flying off a cliff. Very doable.

7:53 but came second to a new racer AI. Not happy lol.

WTH I crossed the finish line with 7:57 on the clock... first time in four tries to be under 8 min and it didn’t pop... Had the correct car... single player, online... Any ideas?

Update: trying console restart... crossing fingers.

Update2: giving up on fingers, now looking for a chicken to sacrifice... nothing popped. Will try again later... ugh.

Damn, used the wrong Hoonigan Fiesta, there are two availably. Make sure to take the 2015 Model.

I just did it, 7.57. Achievement didnt pop. Annoying as it took me 5 go's. Same thing with the Kraken one, though it didnt pop, I did get the points. Not in this case.

I did complete this achievement in 7:50s. It popped. The only main problem I had was the Driveatars. If you really want to get the achievement. You MUST modify it to be an S2 racing car. Brake only when necessary. Rewind if you hit something. That is my advise :)

And don't waste your time trying to do this in the Winter Season unless you are a great driver... I've tried and failed so many times! I'm waiting for Spring or Summer before trying again

7:45 with my own tuning. Look for it if you want.

Fall Season and did it in 7:56, and 7:59.7, no unlock either time. Using the correct vehicle and the full race no blueprint.

Four times! I did it four times and nothing! What’s wrong with this shitty achievement ? It’s not like it’s a short race, it’s long and hard and it doesn’t reward you... I’m tired of those bugged achievements!

I’ve found how to fix this issue, I’ve shut down my Xbox by pression the power button for 10sec (it clears the cache) then rebooted and launched the game. Then I tried again the leviathan. Halfway, achievement popped.

As long as you use rewind for even the slightest screwup, you should be fine. I just completed this in 7:38 using Maka's tune. I probably could have had a cleaner run - closer to 7:30, but near the end, I wasn't been too picky, since I knew I was good for time

30 seconds to spare and I wouldn't say it was absolute perfection. Honestly a really easy achievement if you're semi competent

Completed in 7:50 and didn’t unlock immediately. Restarted the game and opened up the leviathan again and flipping through the custom maps triggered it to unlock for me.

haha. I was feeling lucky and didnt buy a tune for this car. Fell a mere .3 seconds short of the achievement. Can confirm it goes by race time, not lap time

I got it first try with like 15 seconds left. Only used rewind once. Made the gears a bit longer so I could hit 165. Honestly I thought it was going to be a lot harder.

It's definitely possible to do it in Winter.I did it at 1st try with 7m51.I used 2 rewind and it was good :)

Just got it! 7:43.198!

Just got it in 7:50. That included a couple of minor mistakes and crashing into the barrier after the last corner just before the finish line which stopped me dead!

Yesterday did it in 7.55, no achievement unlocked :-(
Start the game today and achievement unlocked :-)

I made it in 7:32s and that was carefully on half gas. Second drivatar made it in 7:37s! Easy :D

If it helps to know if you’re on track, just passed midpoint at the top of the mountain, you’re on tarmac for a bit then turn right back on to dirt. I was at 4:27 right at that point and finished 7:49.

I finished under 8 mins but no achievement, then went to create a route and it popped.

Found it harder to win the race than do it in under 8 mins! Took 3 attempts in the end to win it and all were under 8 mins.
1st go - highly skilled drivers - 7:52 / 3rd place
2nd go - highly skilled drivers - 7:57 / 7th place (was leading until literally 10 metres from the finish line and took the corner too wide and hit the house. Too close to finish to be allowed to rewind. Doh!)
3rd go - average drivers - 7:54 / 1st place (but 2nd, 3rd and 4th also finished under 8 mins).
I used Maka91’s car tuning set up (S2 / 916).

7:35 in the snow and it popped fine. Easy.

Used Makas tune and was in highly skilled.

This shouldn't be to hard if you've been playing for a bit. I wouldn't say I'm that great at Forza, and I clocked a 7:37 in 1st w/ expert drivers. I just used the first S2 tune I came across too.

Wasn't that hard! I did it in the first attempt (used Makas tuning) and did not correct every small mistake with rewind. 7:37, super easy.

Pyupyucat the only troll here is the person complaining and calling people out because they have an achievement and you don’t.

Also got it today in 7:42 on my first attempt and I'm not particularly good at racing, and didn't rewind any small mistakes (using Maka's tune). So don't be put off :)

Guide made it seem like this was a very tight race lol. Got it in 7:37 and that's with a crash near the end.

It’s definitely glitchy. Beat it 3 times each under 7:50. Tried closing and rebooting game nothing. Went to hard reset the Xbox. Nothing popped again. Tried the event once more and within a minute in boom achievement popped!

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Using the Maka91 tune, best I get is 8.15ish. I'm using rewinds liberally, and not hitting much on the way.

Finished in 7:41 and no achievement. It's nice when content is still bugged this long after release.

Edit: Closed the app. Reset the console. Restarted the race and 4:02 into the race it popped. This is bugged but it's doable.

Got this one after many try... Maka's tuning didn't work for me. I needed a few more seconds. I tuned the car and added some speed and with the help of break assist, I just went full speed and slow down to avoid drifting in curves sometime. So with this new settings, got it first try : 7:57! My tuning is : levslayer.break.assist (Automatic shift, Break assist and stability + traction : On). Didn't pop for me after the race. I quit the game waited 15 minutes. Got back and restart the race and it pop around 1:45! :)

I got this @7:47 with the Maka tune first try!

Used Maka's tune and finished in 7:37. Popped as soon as the race was over!

I'm by no means a good race driver (average at best), and I got this with 7:37.928. So no one should be worried about this one...

Used a tune that got the car to S2 (911) and stayed ahead of the pack barely on Expert which got me in with 12 seconds to spare. Think if I had adjusted some of the traction settings I may have done better.

New Racer, Easy, Maka tune. At least one car gets about 10 seconds in the lead and stays there. I know I suck at the game but this car is worst I've driven so far

Just got this first try after reading these tips. Tune was called “7 minute leviathan” I played on Expert. I was 1st for the middle half of the race. On the cliffs in the second half 1 guy passed me but that allowed me to draft, which is nice. On the last turn I slammed into the wall and crossed the finish line 8/12. 7:48

Remember that these rally cars are super at acceleration. Breaking early allows you to hammer on the gas out of the turns taking advantage of the amazing acceleration. Best of luck.

This didn't pop for me despite locking in a 7.30 lap. Quit out to the main land and then restarted the game, went across to the Super 7 area, clicked on it and the achievement unlocked. Weird.

Passed Kraken - didn't popped up. Passed it 3 times. Nothing too.
Passed Leviathan - didn't popped up. Passed it 3 times. Nothing too.

I bagged a pretty fast time, the twisty parts on the mountain are the most complex parts but it's satisfying. This is probably a bit easier than the Kraken because the Fiesta can just be chucked into turns.

I can only buy the Hoonigan Fiesta with real money as part of Fortune Island or the expansion bundle. I was able to buy the Ford Focus with credits just fine. Achievement behind a paywall, really M$?

Not overly keen on the Leviathan even when in a car I like, but I really dislike it when in this Hoonigan Gymkhana 8 Ford Fiesta ST RX43, it is utter dog s**t.
I couldn't get a clean lap, at the pace needed for this challenge without resorting to using rewind several times, which completely spoils the fun/feeling of achievement/satisfaction etc.
I did it second run and I'm glad it's over.
End of rant. lol

finished in 2nd place with 7:42 and it didn't pop, then I did a 10 sec community blueprint and that worked

if the achievement didn't pop for you after completing the race just do a hard reset. I did a blueprint method but I only received an achievement for completing both kraken&leviathan race, then I done it legitemely and still nothing popped up. I've made a hard reset and it unlocked after couple of minutes.

I finished around 7:40mins first try and it popped. It wasn't too difficult. I went off road a few times that i didnt rewind, took most of the sharp turns at a speed of around 55-60kmph and I hit a wall/obstruction right next to the finish line(about 2-5m from the line) and for some reason I couldnt rewind that part so had to reverse and finish. Its doable. I used maka91 tune.

I just got this, first try. I don’t remember my exact time, but I finished right around 7:50. Thing is, I thought I was going to blow the race because I didn’t think I was doing that well. I did use Maka91’s tune for the car, and it worked great! I did use rewind a lot, too. If you’re worried about this one, don’t be.

I repeated Leviathan 3 times, each trial i got under 7:50. I observate that best lap time is not the final time. For example, 7:50 is shown in the best lap time column and final time is 7:54. In none of the three trials the achievement didn't pop up.

Edito.- It pop up to me yesterday. I was repeating the Leviathan, and the achievement appears in the middle of the race (I didn't finish the Leviathan)... with the same car... LoL

I wonder if this achievement popping had a direct correlation to doing housework?

After several attempts between September to October 2020, with lap and race time both under the required 8 minutes, this combination worked for me:

1. Made sure that i was in Horizon Solo (so not in a convoy or Horizon Life).
2. Upgraded the car. The car had a stock engine, but all other upgrades (removed restrictor plates etc), but I don't think that really matters. But that's what I did, as it didn't work for me when I had the rally engine upgrade in it.
3. Noted all the warnings Don't do this in Winter.
4. Swallowed a bit of pride and turned on assists Traction, Stability and ABS with Normal Steering to make the world an easier place.
5. Used the Official "Rally Monsters" race print (Horizon Presents: Leviathan). That's the one that comes up automatically when you fire up the race.
6. Raced hard. Using rewind when necessary.
7. Finished the race, letting all drivatars finish, before proceeding through the reward screens - and then returned to the race world and drove up and down the coast for a minute.
8. Grumbled when the achievement didn't pop.
9. Hard Reset my console (power down button for 10 seconds)
10. Restarted my Xbox and walked away for half an hour and cleaned my house and fed the dog.
11. Fired up the XBox again, launched FH4, and then fast traveled to Fortune Island.
12. Drove to The Leviathan Event with casual hopefulness.
13. Then it popped.

Do not be discouraged by these trolls claiming, "Oh, so easy! I was AFK through half of this and drunk for the other half and totally did this in 7 minutes!" Screenshot or it didn't happen.

This car is a torquey fiend and will slide off a cliff with just a hint too much throttle or brake. It's an uncontrollable dog made for sliding around racking up skill points, not for actual racing.

I have no problem finishing the weekly challenges. I've three-starred every stunt and story chapter. I play with ABS, manual, and no assists. I had to turn on traction and stability to keep this awful car on the road most of the time. For racing, I hate every Hoonigan car except for the RS200. Out of about ten tries at this, I got 7:59:xx twice and the stupid achievement didn't pop either time.

I can live without this one.

Took me several tries to get full time under 8min, but just did it. No pop. Loaded custom 1 lap 2 checkpoint race I had made prior, still nothing. Hoping it's a late pop.
