Quick description; I took photos of 200+ cars in under 45 minutes (Xbox One X + external SSD so mileage may differ).
Select any Drag Race and choose "Change Car". Using X you can sort on Car Type. Scroll all the way left to the first Car Type and choose the lowest level car like D, C or B if possible. Now start the Drag Race and if everything works, you will be matched with 4 to 8 different cars from this particular Car Type.
Once the race starts, hold UP on the D-pad for about 0.5s, move the camera back a bit (showing all cars in one shot) and press the right BUMPER/SHOULDER on your controller. It will quickly take a picture (not saving / editing / focusing as usual), tally all unique cars in the photo. Press B a few times and immediately Quit the Drag Race.
Now for the rinse & repeat; select the same Race, choose Change Car and select the NEXT Car Type. In some cases you can't easily change within the previously selected Car Type. By the time you done all Car Types (from left to right), you should have 160 to 220 photos already. If you are under 200, start from the left of the Car Types again and now select the highest possible car like X or S2. It matches you with different / unique cars for you photos.
As posted in the news section, this achievement will not pop or go live before Thursday June 18 and one should have/get an update for the game in the process.

When using a drag strip to quickly get photos, use the drag race on the beach. When you quit, you will be able to hit X right away whereas others you have to drive to the start.

Absolutetly right. This comment saved me lots of time. Also, if you forget which car class you just finished, press right on the Right Thumbstick while hovering over your current car in the car selection screen to see what class it is.

•Load up game
•If you have enough CR buy Sunflower meadows home this will give you Horizon Promo perk and Stay home cheevo its located at Ambleside on Map
•Take a picture of your car (up on the d-pad and press RB to take the picture ) this will give you the cheevo First promo-tion
•Go to Horizon festival Drag Strip
•Enter event SOLO
•Go to change car
•Press X for Sort i used Car type and worked my way from left to right which was Modern Supercars to Track toys and select a car from whichever type your in
•Press compete in this event after you have selected your vehicle
•Now you will race with 12 other cars
once the race starts press up on d-pad for the camera go infront of the 12 cars and take a picture of them RB to take the picture this will add to your Horizon Promo, Once you have done that exit photo mode press start and quit event, enter the same event again and repeat this process until you get 200 photos of each car
•This gives you different cars to take pictures of each time you choose a different type of car to race the highest pics i got in one race was 9 and lowest was 1 just keep trying different types of cars and you will have it in no time
