How to unlock the The Variator achievement in Forza Horizon 4 - Definitive Guide

When you are playing Eliminator, you can change cars on several spots located in the map. Once you choose to do so 10 times, this is unlocked (it doesn't have to be 10 different cars, just 10 times changing it).
It can be done during multiple Eliminator plays, not just in one sitting / game

How are the spots where you can change cars marked on the map?
They are not marked on the map. You have to use the visual clues from the purple drones and the sound to guide you

Well you have visual clues (the purple smoke over the drone) and also audio clues (the drone itself is playing some pretty distinct music). Basically you have to see the environment and having headsets will give you perhaps more spatial orientation about where to go.
The map is huge so sometimes it is not hard to run and run without finding a single place to change your car. Keep that in mind, just continue moving.
