Ok it works. I have done a "normal" adventures from the beginning to the end and the counter increase from 1 to 4 :) thanks

At some Point the tracker stops. Just restart the Game and it updates, no Progress lost.

It's pretty weird. I was at 4/6. Did 2 times more and restarted the game : Now the tracker says 0/2.

Worked for me. Had to restart the game a few times to let it catch up. The last one I did legit just to be sure it unlocks.

did it 10x times, but not as C3LLDW3LLER the last one regular 5 race, but also this method, it says i am ranked with rank 17 but not pop up for me, so I dont know if I should try play it again as regular or its waste of time? Will progress reset after next season?

This ended up working for me, mostly. I timed out three times and it still showed 0/10. I then restarted and played through a match, after which it showed 4/10. I timed out of five more matches, after which it showed me at 8/10 (one less than it should've been). I restarted and played one more all the way through and the achievement popped at the end of that one (which was the 10th).

I recommend amending the solution to include playing a full match after nine timeouts to have them counted. I'm sure they'll patch this, but you get an upvote from me. While it works, it's definitely waaaay faster than playing 50 friggin' races. Terrible mode, terrible achievement.

@nightw0lf The last one 100% does NOT need to be done regularly for this to work as mine unlocked with the inactivity method, so the solution should not be amended like that in my opinion.
But it *might* be necessary that one of the 10 is done regularly, at least I cannot prove otherwise, as I already had done a regular one before I started with the inactivity method.

You do not have to restart the game. I did it in one session. The counter is updated not after being kicked out of the game, but after the adventure really ends. That's why you have to wait 15-20 minutes to see the actual result. Just make one more full adventure at the end and reach you jump out.

Agreed, restarting didn't change anything, but mine didn't automatically update like some people were experiencing. If anyone elses doesn't update, fully complete one. I got kicked from 5, fully played the 6th, and my progress bar jumped from 0 to 6.

I've done 6 idles and have 5/10 tracking, both of which only went up when I quit out of the game and restarted (did so instantly).

I had exactly the same problem, ranked 17 but no achievement (I had got kicked from 8 with the intention of doing the last 2 legit but it ranked me after 8!!)
I just did another and played through the whole thing and it popped at the end so I would definitely give it a try

Just want to confirm that as of 3/16, it still unlocks with getting kicked from being idle. Did all my placements getting kicked and got put in the "17th" division. No achievement. Did my next one legit, all 5 races and achievement unlocked at results screen.

As mentioned above, this is still working on 3/16. It appears progress goes up without restarting but not until the race you idle out of is actually finished (with or without you in it). I still recommend doing all 5 races from event 10 after idling 9 events.

I had to play a full match afterwards, unlocked straight after the final race.

This does work. I did it 9 times then I played the 10th game to completion and it unlocked after. Even after 9 games of idling it did say 0/10 but still unlocked after the 10th.

does this reset when the season ends? I'm part way through, but tonight is the last night I'll have to work on this before the season changes. Do I need to make sure I get this done?

I quit out of 9 and played the 10th. Popped at the end of 10.

I still had some issues getting xp for unranked quitting out at the choose car screen for the next adventure. I let the next adventure start then let it time out and I got to keep the xp. At least the server issues are gone.

This isn't working me. I got to 2/10 but now it refuses to give me any more progress.

I did idle for 9 events, played only 10th and got this achievement!
I also got "Certified Adventurer" chivo at the same time

Seems this got fixed with latest update (26th March). It's just me or am I right?

Just got this doing the get kicked for the first 9 matches for inactivity and racing the 10th match all the way through. So the most recent update did not negate this method.

just like iron and casa, I did idle and got kicked 9 events, played the 10th and got the achievement. Also got the "Certified Adventurer" :)

I just got this. Used this method for all 10 qualifying championships, no cheev. Tried it again for the ranked championship, no cheev.

So raced a ranked championship properly and it popped. Yay back to 2000/2000

This is still working as of the 31st March. The counter is pretty slow at updating, but it does work.

This saves so much time your crazy to not get this done now

I decided to give this method a try and I can confirm this still worked for me today 3rd April. I will explain you how I did. I started at 1/10. Did 3 freeroam adventures without touching the controller on the first race of each, it kicked me, closed the game and opened once again but counter only showed 2/10, then I hide the game by going to the menu and shut down the console for 10-15 minutes (instant turn on energy mode). Then I turned on, clicked on the game and the counter went up to 4/10. I repeated this 2 more times, except the last set I've only did 2 races. Counter updated to 9/10, then I made a full freeroam adventure by playing till the end and both this achievement and the freeroam popped. Hope this helps! Cheers

Can confirm method above is still working today, don't need to ever complete a series can just keep timing out and it will pop albeit with a slight delay

I don’t understand the negative votes, it’s a very helpful guide if you want only the achievement and don’t want to play. People must be patient and read comments.

For the first few races I had the same not counting problem lile everyone else. Tried to close the game and restart, but not helped. Then played through one match and jumpes up my progress. Did this more times then played again on the 10th match and the cheevo popped up!

One match of 3 or 5 races, you HAVE to finish all the 3/5 races to get the achievement

Mine is out of 6 too. I'm on my 4th right now. Hopefully it pops at 6.

Still works as of today. Idled out of 9, then ran the 10th and got both this and Certified Adventurer.

As of 6/10/19 this still works, thank god. I love Forza, but not enough to do 50 shitty multiplayer races. Thanks so much for the solution IRECARDO!

Can confirm that this still works (idling 9 and then completing the final one properly) as of 14/06/2019. The counter starts off not going up but it will eventually update (if not just restart your game i.e. force close and reopen).

This was my last achievement, glad I didn’t have to do 50 races! Balls to online grind achievements.

finding a game takes quite some time, sometimes over 5 minutes.
the tracker only tracks championships that have ended, so it will start moving when you did this method a couple times.
i completed one championship in the end, when the tracker was at 9/10. i dont know if you have to do this, but i did it anyways since it was only a 3 race championship.

Yes, can confirm this as well, still works. I had 10/10 by using this "trick" but the achievement didn't unlock. Did 1 adventure, and it popped.

January 2020 - still works! You deserve a medal or this solution, really you do.
My counter never updated immediately but was always accurate after a delay. I let the first 9 games time out but chose to complete the 10th, as it was 3 rounds of street racing with no freeroam rush. Achievement popped on the race results screen.

Now, do you have a solution to make playing Playground Games tolerable???

OK - still works fine. Did the solution like 11 or 12 times. No achievement although the game said I was qualified. Round 13, finished all three races, cheevo popped during final result screen. Finally

Beggars belief how much of an abomination the online on this game is. Takes half a millennium to find a bloody game only to have the joys of freeroam rush greet you. Racing boils down to who can abuse the collision meta the best, sod actually being a better driver.. great Job PG 👍

I had the same with no player list. Everything after restarting and progress still counting.

Oh ok, I'll try. But it looks like they are working on the game. I've no name in the player list at the top right, and every time I touch a wall my car become invisible and I have a speed limit for a few seconds like a penality ...

This worked perfectly! the hardest part was getting a high enough level to play ranked with the POS servers that kept disconnecting after 5 round of unranked!!

I just got this today (30th March 2019) and it works a treat. I'd played the first full event I'd entered, then decided to give this a go. I just kept joining and not moving then it kicked me. I played about 15 rounds, but the counter went up every few rounds and I never raced again for the achievement to pop +1

As above asked, my ranked free for all qualify is for 6 races not 10? Where are people seeing this? My ranked team racing qualify is for 10 but not free for all. Am I in the wrong thing?

Not all my idled races were counted. The tracker in game seems to work correctly. After 10 counted idled races I was ranked, however I didn't get the achievement. I needed to play and finish one full game (so all 5 races). This gave me the achievement. Hope this helps.

Worked (pretty) fine for me. Only the tracker didn't move at the beginning, later on more regularly.

To be exact: I had done a regular one before the new season, with the tracker showing 0/9 before I did anything today. Then I did 4 ranked adventures as described, with the tracker not moving even a bit and staying at 0/9. Then I killed the game and restarted it. Still 0/9. Then I did another adventure and after that it said 2/9. And after that it counted pretty much all of them (I think one with a bit of delay).

I did NOT have to do the last one regularly, the achievement popped up right after I got kicked from the last ranked adventure for inactivity. But this might also be because I had done a regular one already. So I cannot 100% confirm that you can do all of them with inactivity timeout, but certainly you can do the last one like this.

This worked for me as of 4/13. I did these in between 3 consecutive Forzathon Live events and essentially killed 2 birds with 1 stone that way. Just ignore the tracker. Mine never moved and the achievement unlocked sometime after the last adventure, which was about 20 minutes before the final Forzathon event I played. It took about an hour and a half for the 10 adventures to complete and register, including the time that it took to play my second Forzathon Live event. I'd suggest using the in-game tracker instead of the achievement tracker, it shows #/10 races completed for Ranked Adventure.

However, please be aware that even the in-game tracking for Ranked Adventure didn't register any events as complete for me until after I completed my second Forzathon Live event (which equated to about 50 minutes dedicated to timing out Ranked Adventures, I managed to get 6/10 completed in that time). I believe this is because the races/events still have to be completed in full before they are counted/tracked on your profile, as ResinousHashish has stated something similar in the comments above:

You can't just idle and be disconnected anymore. You have to complete the ranked FFA adventure. Which tbh isn't that difficult I came first ranked 11 against ranked 2500+ players, simply because they tried playing like fuckwits whereas I drove a clean line.

Just used this method for all 10 adventures but the achievement wouldn't pop even though the in-game tracker was saying 'Qualified'.
Tried restarting the game and console, signing my profile out then back in, but the achievement only popped up right after I finished my first legit adventure, so it seems like minimal engagement is actually required. Still a huge timesaver using this method though. Thanks!

This is the most annoying achievement, more than 5 hours to endure rammers and at least 20 of these stupid free roam rush events :(

If you get it after just 50 races you are doing alright. After finishing 5 you can get disconnected, and they don't count. If you join after race 1 it also doesn't count, so first you have to finish those races and hope you don't get disconnected at the end.

I don't think you can join after the 1st race, like normal adventure. Ranked only starts with a full lobby, and if you pay attention, no one joins mid progress after that. Still, goddamnit is this achievement annoying. It takes forever to find a match, people ram you left and right, and the free roam rush... just shite. You don't have to actually win tho so at least there's that.

I am with Truthful, my rank isn't rising up at all even playing unranked free for all, will it not rise until I've played 10? It should be going up to 3 shouldn't it?

You can join after the first race and it will not count.

Are there any tips or tricks to stay connected after an event? Currently I have completed 8 free for all adventures and only 2 of them have counted due to me disconnecting after the other 6. So frustrating!

@el p1nko, I was suffering from disconnects but that was using the Unranked Free-For-All adventure. Clearly you need to have a successful unranked adventure for the other achievement, and if you can successfully complete one without disconnecting I believe it does increase your ranking matches total.

However, since switching to just RANKED, as you suggest, I've always started at race 1, haven't disconnected once and all of them have counted. I believe the guide should be changed.

I’ll change it, and yeah, the disconnects only seem to happen in the Unranked/Quickplay, Ranked is working fine.

You CANNOT do the ranked mode until you are level 3 in that standing which involves playing the unranked mode so you are not completely correct el p1nko!

Personally I don't mind the Freeroam Rush events. At least they give you a better chance to avoid the moronic rammers who force you off the road to miss checkpoints in the normal races.

I personally didn't have bad matchmaking. I got stuck in matches fairly quick, an I only lost connection 1 time. The minimum required people is 10 to start. (P.S Don't do the "quick join" one. Quick join ranked matches don't count towards you to qualify)

If you were already ranked for this mode (the 3 mp modes are ranked separately) prior to this achievement, then you will only need to do 1 qualifying round instead of 10 rounds..

The quickest fastest possible way to do this is - Once you’re able to do RANKED FREE-FOR-ALL RACING - Start a game up - Select your car - Once the first race starts - Don’t touch your controller for 46 seconds - This will allow you to get kicked <— This is what you want. Do this 10 more times and the Achievement will pop. This solution is only for people that don’t care about losing. The progress will not start to show until you do this 2 times. For example - Do this 1 time it will say 0/10 - Do this 2 times it will say 1/10 - Do this 3 times it will say 2/10 and so on. Good luck!

Was at 8/10 done last night and with it changing to Summer at reset today it now says 0/5...

Strange. Was 1/10 yesterday in Spring, today it changed to Summer and my progress is now 0/9?

Before this update, I did 10 ranked free-for-all adventures from start-to-finish and got the ranked team adventure cheevo. (Yes, took longer, but more fun than waiting for team lobbies to fill lol) When I loaded up the game early yesterday morning, I when to online adventure and see that I only needed 1 to get a placement. So I did a ranked FFA, done all 5 events and got this achievement. Also got me to League 12 hours before the series ended so I get those rewards, which is neat.

I didn't get disconnected at all. My Xbox One X is wired via ethernet cable. If anyone having disconnections, you can give Sighris' advice of restalling the game a try.

Wired internet and I've been disconnected 4 times tonight, one of which was literally after I had finished the last event of the adventure.

More or less the same as as KCrosbie. I did 9/10 in bursts of 3, then restarted Forza so it could catch up to 3/10, 6/10, 9/10. Did the last ranked event of 5 races legit and unlocked perfectly fine.

In summary, do the above 9 times and just complete the last race legit.

And again, disconnected at end of 5/5 race in Unranked. This achievement sucks.

xp does not count if disconnected. im still at level 1 and seem to have to wait for a fix.

I’m confused on something. Everywhere I keep reading says to finish 10 adventures however my ranked free for all has a total up to 6...not 10. Was there an update maybe that dropped them down to 6 to qualify? Or am I crazy lol Any info would be much appreciated

I think if you complete any before an update or new season (i'm not sure exactly when), then they reset you to 0 but take off from the total needed to complete. I've had that happen where I played a couple, came back after a few weeks, and I was back at 0 but only needed to complete 8 instead of 10.

^what im saying is...so when you go to ranked online, there are 3 options..the far right being ranked free for all adventure. It only shows a total of 6 qualifiers needed not 10. Now the one on the far left, i belive ranked racing has a total of 10 needed. So what one in particular is everyone talking about, bc the only one with the words free for all i has only 6 qualifiers. Does this make any sense? Also when i do the far left option i almost never get a lobby

yeah it makes sense. As long as you complete all the ones for Free for All Adventure (in your case 6), you'll get a rank.

^i did my 6/6 and got rank and got the achievement The Spirit of Adventure. But I did not receive this achievement. The only available qualifiers I have are on the far left option which I guess I’ll have to try to get 10/10 although it’s borderline impossible to get a match, even though on free for all it happens pretty quick. Any ideas?

can confirm AFK method works as of July 2019. u may have to disconnect from and extra 2-3 matches (12-13 total) but it definitely works

the hardest part for me is it just sits at finding a free for all adventure session...

I got mine after the first championship of 5 races finishing 3rd overall

I'm already level 3 in unranked and played ranked league and I'm in a league but no achievement and these trash events sometimes don't load after completing all 5 races it just says loading for about 5 god damn minutes

I don't know if they changed this or not but I got the achievement after only 3 races.

It seems a little bit buggy at the moment. Every session is loading and loading and loading over again.

Played to level 3 (3 adventures) which opened ranked adventure and both says "Qualifying adventures 0/1" and after doing my first adventure (3/3 races) I got the achievement so yeah probably changed to 1 as it says atleast if you have not yet previously unlocked ranked adventures? Also instantly found game and really fast load times compared to previous experiences of online games in this series.

I think currently it's only one league for teams and free-for-all. I recieved this achievement alongside with the "Certified Adventurer".

Got my achievement today,be aware of the loading screen times and the the result screen after a race for a lot of races I waited at least 10 minutes before loading in to the next race .I think I spent more time waiting at loading screen/results sceen.Be patient. It will load eventually.

What's this about 20+ events and 10 adventures?
My game says to play ranked free-for-all, I have to reach level 3 in unranked.

You have to do 10 free-for-all adventures, each one consisting of 5 races, 2 of them being these stupid free roam rush races, so minimum 30 "normal" races and 20 free roam rush races. It is only 10 adventure sessions you have to enter, so you don't have to worry about selecting them, but you still have to participate in these free roam rushes ...

So I can confirm that I got all 10 races completed using the timeout trick and I had to start the game over a few times. When I got to 10 games and got ranked no achievement popped. I then started a ranked game and finished the 5 races and as soon as I got done it popped.

@idenic I've played another ranked FFA last night. No disconnection. Never had any in ranked. Went well from start to finish. Got to League 12 and I'm one step closer to completing the summer festival playlist too.

I did a quickplay (aka unranked) FFA. After the 5th event, I got disconnected and ended up back in freeroam. Guess they weren't kidding about the disconnects. So much for being lucky lol. Oh well, Back to season championships and other things as well as DMC5 then until that gets sorted out.

Please make sure you only do a RANKED adventures for this achievement. The first sentence in the solution is misleading when it says "you must complete 10 unranked free-for-all adventures".
You must do RANKED for this, just you yourself will have an unranked status until you have done 10 of these, but always join the RANKED adventure for this, not the unranked one (unlike for the other free-for-all achievement).

You are in the right place when you see a "0/10" or "1/10"... tracker next to the adventure selection (unless you yourself really are ranked already, but then you also should have the achievement already).

Regarding the disconnects: fortunately I hardly ever had those, it is just generally annoying that doing an adventure will kick you out of your horizon session and searching for a new one always takes forever. I don't know how many Forzathon Live events I have missed due to the game taking forever to find a session.
And yes, finding a session for the ranked adventure also takes quite long sometimes.

And in my experience for the ranked adventure you will ALWAYS start with the first race, so you won't have the problem being dropped in there in the middle and it not counting (this might be one of the reasons why often you have to wait quite long for a new ranked adventure session, I think the events will only start every five minutes or so).
