Wow i have done alot of matches but havent seem anything higher than 7. In the previous match i was someone got lvl 10 but i wonder where

Anyone who has only played for 8 hours or only found 50 car drops should not expect to have found a L9 or L10. It took 20 hours and 200 car drops before I found a L9. I also think if you don’t find it within the first minute you are not going to that match. Matches last a good 10 minutes. Trying for 1 minute and then quitting will increase your chances.

I've completed all of this DLC and never saw a drop higher than a 7. It's random and rare. Trying to find a 10 is not a strategy you should be using to get this achievement. If you're lucky, good for you, but you're going to stand a much better chance upgrading whatever you have 2 or 3 times.

^^Agreed with Bean, Got this yesterday, just had a great fkn game. Won 6/7 head to heads. Got to 10 by simply ranking my car up, with i think 1 or 2 car pick ups. The reality is, its much easier to continuously race others than drive around aimlessly looking for a 10. Highest i ever saw was a 7.

@ScorchPSO How do you get to choose where you spawn at the start? Every time I've played it's been a random spawn location.

^ after you select your mini, the very next screen it gives you like 5 seconds to scroll around the map and select where you want to spawn.

I found this pretty frustrating, I drove past a leve 9 car once but I was in a Head to Head and another player took it.

I agree the most dangerous is the race with the 9th level, I lost three races in one and I took two from other people when I had mid-tier 4x4s when final area shrinks to all being fields.

So if you're getting towards the end of the game and you don't feel like you're going to be able to upgrade enough times its worth trying to head up someone a few ranks higher its not the advantage people seem to think. The Level 9 Ferrari is awful on the grass

100% luck. Had a level 9 car, started a h2h and it was aborted 10m before the finish line because the final showdown was about to start. Retarded.

I can't confirm, but I'm fairly sure drops only going to level 9. To reach level 10, you will have to win head to heads.

This achievement is disgusting.

On my way to getting this achievement the two hardest/luck based things I found were first trying to get a car drop of 5 or above early on and then secondly getting close to people to challenge. Sometimes it took far too long to track someone down to challenge.

I have run out of time with a level 9 car twice now. The head-to-heads are way too long in the beginning, often 5-6km, which takes up valuable time.

Don't give up, I've managed to win 6 head to heads in one session so there is time.

Yes, of course there is. But there are a lot of factors requiring luck to get there. I just got as well. All luck. Had two opportunities in 2 hours of playing.

The toughest achievement, but not impossible. I got it on my 26th game, but was trying for other things before that.

I took a clip earlier, and can confirm there are Level 10 car drops, but they seem to be exceptionally rare. I only saw one whilst grinding out 100 drops, and after I got the achievement levelling from a level 6 drop, typical luck.

I've seen 3 or 4 rank 8s. I've got my 100 so stopped looking. just 12 more matches to go!

Your screen shot of a L10 spawn almost made me cry. I wonder how many people got this achievement that way, and have no idea of the 30+ hours I have been trying.

OMG I got it after 2 more matches!!!

I developed a bit of a strategy. The best cars I found were always on the edges of the map, the sort of places you end up having to race for your life to get back in the circle (like Bamburgh Castle). Well this time I picked a spawn point in the north west of the map. There under the arches of the Glenfinnan Viaduct was a L9 car drop! I caught up with a passing L4 car, and the good thing about the early head to heads is they are fairly long, so even if you stuff up you have time to recover if you are in a better car. However the L4 car flipped and respawned a way back, so it was an easy run to victory.

But I didn't get that achievement from amazing driving skills, just pure luck. Over 100 matches and that was the first L9 car drop I got.

I then went on to get my 6th (and final) Eliminator win.

As for my earlier comment, around 24 hours had passed since I last played (I actually slept and then went to work). Crusing around in my L10 car I saw so many more car drops than I had yesterday, including some L6 and L7s.

I have never seen a car drop of higher than 7. How do you find them???? I have found 50 drops but none were higher than 7. Where is it more likely to spawn?? Its gonna be my last achievement and probably the reason i wont be able to complete my game

I'm with Phil the Bear -- if you're really trying for this it's super frustrating, but if you're working towards other achievements it tends to come naturally. Probably. Well, I think, there definitely (like with everything else in this mode) a fair bit of luck.

Aggravatingly I picked up the 9, did h2h against the first car I saw which turned out to be an 8, and was started facing the exact wrong direction and they were started pointing directly in a straight line to the finish. Ended up being eliminated in the 50's even though I had a level 9 car to start off with.

The time I did get the achievement, I picked up a level 6 (or maybe 7?), and managed to get the rest of the way on H2H victories against weaker cars. Wasn't even really trying for this achievement at the time, more the "win 3 H2H's in a match" ach.

Collected 100 car drops, not one was level 10. Found a 9 once but lost the race with it.

I came across a pair of racers in the middle of a Head-to-Head race, one of which is a Level 10 car. I followed the racers to their destination because I know that whoever wins that race is going to have that Level 10 car. So I immediately challenged the winner, win the race, and the Level 10 car is mine!

This is total bs the 3 eliminator achievements are hard enough to get

Fuck this game again! I was level 8 against level 3, a house popped from nowhere with hard walls, impossible to get on the road fast enough to win, so the other one got a free achievement because of this shitty level design! Arg I really hate this game mode so much. Didn’t wanted to play it, but now that I’ve unlocked every other achievements I need this stupid ones.

Damn. I thought you needed to find a 10 in the wild. I found a 9... and promptly traded down to a 4 so I could move toward 100 cars.

Rip, I just grinded the 50 games and 100 car drops thinking they we’re my last... didn’t spot this one

I won with a level 6 car, mainly because the last race was over fairly rough terrain and the car was a off-roader 4x4, and because I guessed which direction the finish would be and timed it so that I reached the outer barrier just as it disappeared at full speed.

just got a level 9 car I start a head to head reach the destination and it times out the whole lobby.. forza logic

just managed to get it by pinching it off a dude who'd just upgraded i think.

had a decent lvl 6 offroader, a good headstart, and a short race.

Just chose to take his car after i won. Sadly not enough levels above for the other annoying achievement

The achievements for eliminator are all luck based and garbage along with the game mode

I think I found a way to get it with 4 people but will still be kinda luck based

This is the achievement that I'm losing my mind over trying to comprehend how this could be remotely possible... At least the Influence rewards are high nowadays

Has anyone had any luck getting this via drop lately. I've played 50 matches already but haven't been able to get past level 9 car. I keep spawning in on that castle by the beach to see if I get the lvl 10 drop, but no luck yet :(. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

theyve defo nerfed the high level car drop spawn rate, I'm thinking they changed it around 2022

Got it today through sheer luck and it ended up being the achievement to recover my Bean Dive - the castle in the photo is a great place to start. I found a Level 9 GTC4 behind a house and sent it.

I found pretty high drops consistently at Forza horizon festival site. Got a lvl 9 and chased down a mini for a win despite almost choking and hitting 4 trees

Okay some extra tips from about 15+ games of attempts. This does not include those people who get lucky with a Level 8 - 10 Car from the beginning but those who get a lower.

1) You need a minimum of a level 6 car. If you dont have this as your minimum when you start the game you definitely won't have time to work your way up through head to heads. 5 is maybe possible but it's pushing it.
2) I spawned at Quarry every time. I tried other locations with no luck. Quarry I usually had between 1 - 3 drops depending on the session.

However the particular time I got the achievement I got a level 3 car from Quarry then went to the lake bridge (Where its kind of like water bridge over the lake?) and there was a car drop on this road for level 6. Once I got that I went on a mad dash challenging everybody I saw.

I got unlucky when I got my level 9 car and crashed into a tree. Luckily I was against a level 3 car so I had time to recover. However he was only about 15 meters behind me when I passed the finish line.

When I upgraded to level 10 there were only 15 players left and the Arena had begun shrinking to the smallest size. so as I said it is EXTREMELY tight and 100% luck based.

NOTE: I am crap at Forza but still managed. So don't lose faith you will get it with time and patience.

Yeah, spots are the same but not i every game.
I think that location of the spots is connected with the location of circles and location of the final race.
Played a few games with the same final race, and cars were in the same locations, but type of cars were different.
Chance to get spot with 7+ is very small, get 10 I think is impossible or like a winning a lottery.

This is by far the hardest and most frustrating achievement in this update. There just isn't enough time to get it. I've started next to a level 10 car drop once, so I expect no more than one drop each match is level 10. I so nearly beat the level 10 car with my Mini! I also started at level 4 and got to level 9 and was just about to finish a head-to-head when the 13th car was eliminated. I've been at this one achievement for over 22 hours.

There is no specific place for these. The points at which car drops can happen are at fixed locations however not all of them are active at any given point in a match. When they are active it is completely random as to what the car drop is. To get a level 9 car drop you have to be lucky. I played around 30 actual matches before having to idle to get the play 50 achievement and I saw 1 level 9, 2 level 8s and a few 7s. It is purely just luck

Information about possibility to find 10th level car is just an interesting fact. Upgrade was easier and faster for me, you and many others but maybe someone will prefer to find it. I don't recommend it too, but here have to be information about possibility to find it through car drop.

I agree with both of you that it not related with this specific location. I just wrote, that I found it there. As you said in these locations where we can find a few drops we have bigger chance, which is really small at all. I'll clarify this in solution.

I recommend trying this at the same time you try to beat someone 5 levels higher than you. As the OP states, level 9 cars are very tricky to drive in these conditions, so try challenging an 8-9 while youre in a level 3-4 car. If you've already got that cheevo, then a level 6 car drop should be good enough and theyre fairly common. At least this way youll only have to win a minimum of 2 head to heads to get to level 10.

The prospect of finding a Level 10 car is so slim I wouldn't even bother. I didn't see a single one through a car drop the entire 8-10 hours it took me to finish this DLC. I'd argue it isn't realistic to do this through a car drop! I also agree with Tatey - I doubt this is specifically related to Bamburgh Castle, I think it's just because of its a higher probability of giving drops (like Mudkickers, Mortimer Gardens, Quarry, etc.) I'm pretty sure areas don't correlate to drop rarity, it seems entirely random. I won't downvote the solution because it also goes through the more standard way to do it, and does so well, but I personally think it'll frustrate people trying to find a rare drop and it isn't worth the time investment.

You are far better and quicker trying to find a Level 6-7 car, or find whatever Level 3-4 car you can if you're struggling to find such a car and then challenge someone else to an H2H if they are in a Level 6-7car (there really isn't much difference and you'll have a very good chance, don't be scared off). Then upgrade 3-4 times through H2H's. This isn't an insubstantial amount of wins, but I got 5+ wins in H2H's in a few matches and I'm not amazing at Forza. It'll also progress many other achievements if you have to try multiple times (matches, H2H wins, car drops, etc.), so you aren't wasting your time SOLELY looking for ridiculously rare drops even if you lose a H2H and have to try again.

I got a Level 10 car 3 times in my 50 matches using this method. I left my last 2 H2H wins reasonably close to the end (<25 remaining drivers), as the longer the match the shorter the races, but do it too close to the 12 players remaining mark (i.e. Final Elimination) and you risk missing out altogether).

The main caveat to this method is that if your arena happens to localize around the woods, you may struggle as higher-level cars are often actually worse than mid-level cars. My 3 Level 10's were always to the South or Mid-East, where areas are normally flatter). Thus, if you're Level 8 and need another 2 H2H wins you may find it difficult if you're navigating trees. Just a heads up.

Definitely will get harder the longer you wait. The longer you wait to go for this achievement, the more the online will die for this game mode. The dead-er the online becomes for this game mode, the shorter the games will be, meaning there's less time to look for a good car drop and less time to get to level 10 by winning H2H matches.

In fact, I think soon this gamemode will enter a weird timeframe where the online is alive enough to make boosting this achievement very difficult, but is dead enough to make getting this achievement legit very difficult as well.

I got this spawning at Broadway (very bottom of the map). Every game is guaranteed at least a couple of drops nearby and hardly anyone else goes there. Every few games I was getting a tier 6 or 7 which is a very good starting point. Get straight into this tier 6 or 7 then challenge the first person you see to upgrade your car. Most of the time your first opponent will still be in a Mini. Rinse and repeat 2 or 3 times.

Even with these tips in mind it's still very luck based as it depends on what cars you get and where the circle ends up. I started off at spawn with a tier 7 Warthog, raced someone still in a Mini for 3km offroad so they had no chance of winning. Tier 8 I got offered an Audi RS (very good street car), Edinburgh was in the circle so I camped up there and challenged the first person I saw through the streets of Edinburgh. Again they had no chance of winning as they were in a low tier offroad car. Tier 9 was the same as Tier 8, I had a very good street car so I camped just outside Edinburgh so that the race went through Edinburgh. I got my Tier 10 Veyron then challenged the first person I saw then purposefully lost lol.

Beanpotter and Skrubits I know with luck on my side I will get this eventually. Another aspect luck plays is which direction the head-to-head finish line is. As the ring gets smaller the races get shorter. At the end they can be just 1 km. Even if you are in a L8 car against a L3 car, if you are pointed in the wrong direction you will lose.

What is more of a concern is the game learns. If I spawn in the same place again and again the chances of drops in that area appears to reduce as does the level of the car. Now that I've played 110 matches it doesn't matter where I spawn, there are no more drops above a L3 car. I've found a L8 a couple of times, and several L6 drops, but that was not long after I started playing. My only option now to level up is by winning head-to-heads but even catching anyone to start a head-to-head takes ages. I hope the game has a cooldown so that after 24 hours the drop rate increases again, or that they run a special event with increased drop rates and levels.

My last 50 or so matches have gone like this: Spend 3 minutes driving around trying to find a car drop. Find a L3 car, L4 if I am very lucky. Spend 2 minutes chasing white arrows, then winning a head-to-head and upgrading to L4. Spend another 2 minutes chasing white arrows again and upgrade to L5. Then either get eliminated by a L7/L8 car or get down to 12 cars. My hope is a L8/L9 challenges me and that I am pointed in the rigth direction and there are enough cars left to upgrade to L10.

Then there is the issue of getting stuck in the landscape. With no fast travel and respawn your only options are to wait to be elminated or quit.

I think this is the sort of achievement that is very frustrating when actively going for it but does come naturally eventually.

I got this in my first 15 matches. It was hard fought and I had some close calls to get there. When I got it, it was a case of getting a level 5 car drop and then winning 4 head to heads. It was tight.

Since then I’ve managed it 3 times whilst trying to get my 50 games played.

One of those times I was a level 2 and beat a level 7, then because I was farming car drops went straight to a level 2 car again and then beat a level 8 before doing a couple head to heads.

The final time I actually found a level 9 car drop within 2 minutes of starting and beat a level 1 car to get to 10. I promptly parked my car in the middle of the map and let a level 1 car beat me as I thought I should pay it forward.

Note that I’m not very good at this game. I never play with dravatars higher than what gets you gold in the seasonal championships and my wins against high level cars were luck/fluke. When you see your opponent hit a tree and you fly past them it is a thing of beauty. It’s also satisfying when someone zooms past you in the opposite direction whilst challenging you and you are going straight at the marker they just flew in the opposite direction of.

TL/DR - persevere. It will happen.

I write this as I grind out my last 6 games for my play 50 achievement and I can put the game down again.
