A couple of pre-requisites for this.

You need to unlock the 'Born Fast' story of Horizon Adventure by gathering accolades. It's the second of the Street Scene unlocks.

You also need to reach the Hall Of Fame to unlock the last chapter of the story, which is the Tristan chapter. To reach the Hall Of Fame you need to unlock all 21 of the Horizon Adventure festival stories, plus one more 'accolade level'. You get accolades for pretty much anything in game.
PR stunts are a quick way to earn 850 accolade points a time if you 3 star the speed zones and danger zones.

After you've reached the Hall of Fame the Tristan chapter will be unlocked. You need to 3 star it with a time of 2.25 to get the achievement. It's pretty tight but not too difficult.

If you've 3 starred the rest of the chapter you will also unlock

Already unlocked the Hall of Fame, that chapter is locked saying i need to reach the hall of fame? what? Any ideas?

Just to be clear, it’s not the marathon (3rd race) it’s the 2nd race, Born Fast? Because like I stated yesterday I finished Born Fast with a time of 2:04 and only got two stars. Can you please clarify

Yeap same situation, locked. Tried replaying chapters 6 and 7, at the end he always says something like your not on hall of fame.

I can't start chapter 7. All 1-6 chapter completed 3 stars and dont have chapter 7 to start. What's going on...
Finish previous chapters to unlock. I've finished previous 6 and nothing. What's???
Edit: Event was glitched on chapter 3. Needed to complete all races from chapter 3-6 again to unlock.chapter 7 and 8...

I'm sorry to hear people are having problems. A lot of the achievements are buggy. Hopefully they will sort it.

Only thing I can say to people is how I got it, which was to do all the chapters upto Tristan BEFORE I got to the hall of fame. Only thing I can recommend is people do that. Unfortunately doesn't help those who have it bugged for reaching the HOF first, until a fix comes in.

I’m having same/similar issue as everyone else, except with the V10 story. I’m locked out of chapter 8 and can’t advance.

I think me going back to do the optional story missions has some how prevented me from doing the next ones.

Hoggy, I'm thinking that's the issue and completely unrelated to the Hall of Fame. Doesn't make sense that people (me) can do it long after being in the Hall of Fame but others can't. But from all the evidence in here, one common factor yet to be proven incorrect yet is about the optional chapters. I only chose 1 of the choices and didn't go back to do the other side and no issues.

Maybe people that do both sides of the choice before completing the story encounter the bug?

I can confirm, if you are already in the hall of fame and skip chapter 2, this chapter will unlock. I also already had other chapters in other stories done before I started this one, so that should have no effect.

Thanks sundog27, they definitely feels more likely and we have at least 4 confirms on this being ok to pop if you already are in HoF. Just don't do both of the optionals. Do one, and follow the provided story. Don't go back and do the other option.

For those that already did, you'll need to contact support on the Forza forums and make a ticket so it gets patched. It's not to do with the HoF. It's to do with the optional chapters.

Did everything in order (winning both options) and 3-*ing everything while joining HoF long ago and it unlocked just fine, despite the fact, the winning scene suggested otherwise.

I just submitted a ticket to Forza Support. They’ve emailed me back saying they are looking into this. Hopefully it’s patched sooner rather than later but I have faith in them to fix it.

Some of these races you can go out of bounds and hit the finish line before the checkpoint timer goes down. That's nice.

Just like I Archvile I above me, I did the all of the races, optional included, after reaching the Hall of Fame and I was able to get the achievement.

I’ ve got the hall of fame first then started born fast story , nailed all 7 chapters before Tristan and even if the Tristan event was locked telling me that I needed to be in the hall of fame, after the 7th event I could challenge and beat Tristan anyway.
Cheevo popped after coming back to the Free roam.

I found this Horizon Story easy and I nailed All the chapters into it .
Try to don’t crash your car into walls or hit less objects as possible , more flawless guide it is better time you’ll get

Easy: Turn on ALL driving assists (braking, steering, etc.) in the Difficulty settings. Got it first try 2:23 with a bit of throttle control.

There’s still no fix to this glitchy achievement to whoever got to the Hall of Fame before the final chapter. Though Playground games are aware of this and are hard at work trying to fix all bugs.

For anyone having trouble unlocking the last chapter even after being in the Hall of Fame, I managed to complete this one tonight. What I did was I traveled to the location and chose the highlighted mission (which was #4 for me). After that I just completed them one by one and unlocked the final chapter. Beat Tristan, got 3 Stars, Achievement unlocked. Finally! 🥳🙌🏼

Yeah this is bugged for certain people done it twice in 2mins 11 its easy enough no assists on but it won't pop.

I agree with planchetflaw. I did in this order: 1, 3 (I defeated him), 4, 5, 6, 7 and it unlocked. After, I did the 2 and won the achievement for catch all 3 stars

I was in the Hall of Fame prior to starting this story. After beating the one right before Tristan, it unlocked even though the cut-scene said I wasn't in the hall of fame yet. I beat him with 3 stars. Unocked, Feb 2022.

Race isn’t too hard that you need to turn any settings off or on.

I just ran my normal manual clutch shifting controls and beat the race with over 6 seconds left.

And still, there is no clear solution for this. It could be bugged? yeah, it could be something else? yeah. But also, the Campaign is not very clear on the events or whether you complete/miss something. I really like this game but the map and events are awfully arranged. It's totally frustrating.

Either it's been patched or there is something else causing the issue aside from when you start the Story/get into HoF.

I reached Hall of Fame before doing any stories. That was a few days ago. Today I started Born Fast story. I had no issue unlocking this.

I did chapters 1, 3 (Charlie's Request), 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. I have no done chapter 2 (Charles). I three starred all the chapters in the first attempt. And I did them in one sitting. Tristan said in chapter 7 (and I think 1) that I'm not even in the Hall of Fame. But chapter 8 still unlocked normally.

Xbox One version.

Edit: I'm noticing people saying Chapter 7 isn't available and others saying Chapter 8 isn't available.

Could this also be an issue of you need to have unlocked something else in the game?

What I did to unlock this, really nothing special…basically same as planchetflaw above….
1. Reached the hall of fame first.
2. Completed each chapter of the story until I reached the Tristan chapter.
3. Chose to beat Charlie along the way (completing chapter 3).
4. Did not even bother to complete chapter 2 (which I guess is let Charlie win)….?
5. Did not 3 star every chapter, there’s no need to…I got 2 stars on one of the chapters.
6. Beat Tristan and got 3 stars, immediate unlock.
It’s funny, because part of the story talks about me ‘soon reaching the hall of fame’, which of course I already had.

Oh well it's locked for me, reached the hall of fame i think 4 days ago, did some stories here and there before didn't finish any, started Born Fast from chapter 1 to 7, (went back to complete chapter 2), and at the end of 7, as i said above, the guy or girl can't remember says something like you are not even on that hall of fame blablabla, and the story is locked. In the game i completed every single pr stunt with 3 stars, all showcase events, played one eliminator and won, and got almost all achievements besides the ones from the online festival playlist, the ones about changing seasons and stuff. I still have to complete 2 of the big races, the marathon and the titan, complete some other stories (started all of the already) and like 30% of the misc races around the map. Don't know if any requirement is missing, but the message ir pretty clear, "you aren't in the hall of fame", but i am so ..... don't know, the game is a buggy messy.

I didn't start this until after I was already in the hall of fame. Even then, after the first chapter and seventh chapter, Tristan said in the post-race cutscene that he wouldn't race me because I wasn't in the hall of fame. Additionally, in the chapter select menu for the story, Tristan's chapter had always read "Get into the Hall of Fame to Unlock" (even though I was already in the Hall of Fame). However, Tristan's chapter unlocked perfectly fine once I completed the second to last chapter. I did not complete the option chapter (Charlie's Request). The achievement unlocked perfectly normally, as expected.

The 'Born Fast' Horizon story, firstly, can be unlocked in the Horizon Street Scene outpost ticket. It basically unlocks a series of 1-on-1 races against some stuck-up competitors across all of Mexico (they're shown on the map as a yellow icon with two helmets facing each other).

The achievement specifically requires you finish the Tristan chapter, which is the eighth race of eight in this Horizon story. There is a disclaimer though, he'll only race you when you get into the Hall of Fame, so while you can start this super early, you will have to come back after you become a Hall of Famer to finish it off.

The races themselves are fairly easy, so you could get three stars on them all with relative ease, although for the achievement you only need to 3-star the Tristan race - it's worth doing them all for the Accolade Points anyway. The 3-star times are super forgiving as well. I beat most of them by at least 10-15 seconds. If you're struggling, remember you can rewind as much as you want if you need to perfect some corners.
