How to unlock the Living Legend achievement in Forza Horizon 5 - Definitive Guide

As of 5/3/22 there are now 357 stars, 48 more than at launch with 309 stars available to earn so there is some room for you to skip some tougher ones you're struggling with (63 stars can now be missed)

In order for all the PR stunts to show on the map you will need to open the Horizon Rush festival outpost.

PR stunts are Trailblazers, Speed Traps, Speed Zones, Drift Zones and Danger Signs. They show up on the map as white signs with red borders (Common UK road sign design)
Some PR stunts may show as seasonal PR stunts, their normal 3 star requirements are all thats needed for those.
You can track how many stars you have on the 'Living Legend' accolade in 'Hall of Fame' section of the accolades menu but the achievement does have a percentage tracking too.

-For Drift Zones make sure you have traction control and stability turned off in assists, manual transmission helps too. Drifting left and right as you go along the roads is a good way to earn points, you dont have to only score on the corners
-Speed Zones & Traps are all dependant on which end you start at so pick your route wisely to be fastest.
-Danger Signs are all about a good run up and a good route, if you land poorly remember you can rewind (unless you disabled it) and you MUST land the jump without flipping or crashing.
-Trailblazers have a set start and end point but you choose the route so use you map to plan where you'll go and where possible get a good run up to the starting gate.

Remove the spaces from share codes
For almost every PR stunt (including newly added) I used the Ultima Evolution Coupe 1020 2015 tune share code 997 931 990 and offroad code 106 966 269. Car costs 300k on the autoshow or cheaper from auction house and tune costs around 100k. Im sure there is probably better but thats a versatile car for me. (3rd/4th for drifting)
But for some more specific breakdown:
General good cars:
-1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution tune Stunt King by Don Joewon Song
-VIP ONLY: 2011 BMW X5 M Forza Edition tune EXP+CR MAX445KM by Ziv Mving 7
-1965 Hoonigan Ford "hoonicorn" Mustang
Drift zones:
-Nissan Fairlady Z 2003 as its cheap and my tune share code 141 058 712 (3rd/4th for drifting)
-Willys MB 1945 with tune DRIFT ZONS WR from k2422
-BMW Isetta (Various drift tunes)
-Formula drift cars (599 gtb Fiorano 2007 being one suggestion)
Speed Traps & Zones:
-Koenigsegg Jesko (Expensive but is the prize for completing the stunt driver story)
-(Offroad) FORD F-150 PRERUNNER DEBERTI (Various top speed tunes)
-1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution tune Stunt King by Don Joewon Song
-Lamborghini Sesto Elemento (Forza Edition) with X999 tune from Don Joewon Song
Trailblazers
-Trailcat 2016 Jeep (modded to S1 900)
-Ford Bronco (modded to S1 890)
Danger Signs
Covered by other sections, most fast cars do well with the correct run up.

To search for tunes press cn_start in the tune car menu and then press cn_back to search, You can do this either in the pause menu (cars tab) or the festival/home upgrades & tuning menu.

For any noobs like me who are terrible at drift, I hate drift, cannot drift, but just wheelspin and suddenly 3 starring with 599 gtb Fiorano 2007, everything is easy 3 star, literally 3 star halfway through. Idk if glitch or just great car but I’m suddenly 3 everything easy after never getting 1 star before tonight, 12/3

EDIT: Achievement finally popped after beating a PR on one of the danger signs. It wouldn't pop for me on the trailblazer/speed zones final 3rd stars, even with 300/300

Did anyone get into a weird bug of this achievement not registering properly? I have 6 stars left combined in trailblazer and speed zones, and that's 294/300. The accolade tracker shows 281/300 for me

not entirely correct,
I got the cheevo with 6 speed zones untouched, so 18 stars to spare.
This game has really become a joke, lol.
How to dumb the heck out of a beloved franchise.
Shame though, the map is terrific, but that's all that's good in this.

The Nissan Fairlady Z 2003 with your tune worked a treat as I got nearly all the Drift Zones first time with ease so many thanks for that - I have to add though that I've noticed the last few Horizon editions of the ''Drift Zone'' have become so much easier than the earlier editions from say Horizon 1 to 3 - these were far more difficult as you didn't just handbrake your way round the course - you really had to earn your score with proper sideways driving and any other cars on the road had to be avoided as they weren't ghosted out - still I may be wrong - maybe my driving HAS improved !! - once again though - many thanks ...

I can’t believe how easy it was. Some courses I hit my target
With about 50% to go

Average drifter, had some rage moments on previous games but not this one

I choose the M2 drift car. And it was a joke. I SUCK at drifting. This is my 5th Horizon game and always suck at it. With that car + turning TC and Stability, I was tripling every 3 star target without trying.

And the Jesko is so fast it's not funny. Good for many of the speed zones. Even some dirt ones.

Also the FORD F-150 PRERUNNER DEBERTI is 100% not in the store. I have looked 1000 times. The wiki says its a FH5. Its not there. and I can't find it in the Auction house. There is the #11 f-150 and two different rapters and that's it. edit: eff me, its not a Ford, Deberti is the maker.

ALSO note, some of the new signs are counting. Most were not, but a few certainly did. The achievement popped when I got only 2 stars on a danger sign, and I still had 1 more to go,

PR Stunts are the white and red icons that appear on the minimap.

Speed Traps are shown on the map as a single speed camera. You need to drive as fast as you can through the camera.
Speed Zones are shown on the map as 2 speed cameras next to each other. You need to keep a high average speed through the zone.

Danger Signs are shown on the map as a... well... danger sign. These usually have a ramp or are on top of hills. You will need to jump as far as you can and land the car (landing upside-down or crashing after landing will fail it).

Drift Zones are shown on the map as a car drifting. You will need to drift your car and score points whilst doing it. You will earn more points based on how fast you're going and how much oversteer you're getting, if that makes sense.

Trailblazers are shown on the map as a waypoint icon. You need to find the quickest route to get from the start of the trailblazer to the end. (Marked on the map as a finish line, you can see green flares when you're near it)

To unlock majority of the PR stunts, you will need to open the Horizon Rush festival outpost.

If you are having trouble doing the stunts, there is a car that I've found to do most of the stunts with relative ease.

Car: 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution
Cost: 500,000 Credits
Tune Name: Stunt King
Tune Creator: Don Joewon Song
Class: S2 985 (with tune)

I have found this car to be extremely good at doing the PR stunts. If you're still having trouble with the drift zones, try using the Formula Drift cars from the car pack you get with the car pass, they are also really good options smile

Edit:

I've found another useful car that can be used if you are having trouble completing some of the PR stunts for this one. It's mainly intended for road PR stunts though.

NOTE: THIS CAR IS ONLY AVAILABLE WITH VIP.

Car: 2011 BMW X5 M Forza Edition
Cost: Free with VIP
Class: S2 998

You can use it stock but if you intend to go for some of the more demanding speed traps, this tune is also great.

Tune Name: EXP+CR MAX445KM
Tune Creator: Ziv Mving 7
Class: X 999

If there are any other cars you guys find useful, leave them in the comments but I think these 2 cars are solid choices.

Since everyones tastes some alternatives for those interested:
-Drift zones could be Nissan Fairlady Z 2003 as its cheap and my tune share code 141 058 712 (Confirmed ive 3 starred all 20 drift zones with it)
-Speed traps and speed zones Ultima Evolution Coupe 1020 2015 tune share code 997 931 990
-Danger signs and trail blazers Porsche Taycan Turbo S ''Welcome Pack'' 2020 tune share code 391 581 215

I love the Nissan Fairlady Z 2003 for drifting in this. I got almost all Drift Zones 3 starred first go with it and I am a bad drifter. I had trouble on 2 dirt ones because the width of the track was quite narrow for registering the score. I got 700,000+ first attempt on the big drift zone.

I did use a drifting tune called something along the lines of Easy Seasonal. Turn off TC and STM and you can keep it in auto. In all previous Horizons I had to use manual for some harder ones. But this car and tune just eats the zones easily.

I'm glad I played early to see that Seasonal challenge otherwise I would never have tried the Fairlady and instead gone with the usual Formula Drift car.

I'm also surprised this achievement isn't for doing all at 3 stars. I still have 15 stars (18 if Goliath counts) I could do over 5 events. [Did them just now anyway for future achievement anticipation]

EinarN: Have you done Trailblazers? Also, is every PR event unlocked? (I can't remember if more unlock after certain requirements are met like in some previous games or not).

Also, the Juggernaut (I mistakenly said Goliath in my post) counts as 3 stars to Trailblazers and PR stunts.

If you didn't know, you can filter the map with RB and then unselect all (select all then unselect it) and only recheck Drift Zones, Speed Traps, Speed Zones, Danger Signs, and Trailblazers.

I used the 1965 hoonigan Ford "hoonicorn" mustang (default stats/tune) to get this achievement, and I mean I used it for all PR stunts. It doesn't get 3 stars on some speed zones and traps but does everything else (other speed zones and traps, trailblazers, drift zones, danger zones). I actually got this car in a wheelspin.

You also do NOT need to get 3 stars on all PR stunts to get this achievement. I think there are about 309 stars in total (number is rough). Most of my speed zones and a couple of speed traps are 2 star with the occasional 1 star and I got this.

Yeah just confirming that you don't need 3 stars on all PR stunts. Thank god, because I suck at drifting. I had 3 stars on all Danger signs, Speed Zones, and Speed Traps and 2 stars on *most* of the drift zones. I still have one drift zone I haven't even tried yet and I unlocked the achievement.

For what it’s worth these are the cars I used:
Speed Zones (dirt tracks) - Stock 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200
Speed Zones (roads) - McLaren Senna, this I modded myself to AWD to improve handling and speed. It was at S2 998.
Speed Traps and Danger Zones - Stock Koenigsegg Jesko, for the ones this couldn’t do, I used a Trailcat 2016 Jeep that I’d modded to S1 900
Drift Zones - Willys Jeep with Drift Zons WR mod by k2422
Trailblazers - Trailcat 2016 Jeep (modded to S1 900) and Ford Bronco (modded to S1 890) though either should be fine for all of them.

The FORD F-150 PRERUNNER DEBERTI helped me out with those offroad speed zones. Just download a tune for some speed and acceleration, and you can easily complete all of them. This truck controls really well on dirt, and is barely affected by water.

You can do all (but two) Speed Traps, Speed Zones and Danger Signs with one single car and one single tune:

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento with X999 tune from Don Joewon Song.

Doesn’t matter if off-road. The grip and acceleration and speed is so great that you will get almost everything with the first try. It’s laughable easy.

In Forza Horizon 5 there are 103 different PR events in 5 different disciplines. There are:

31 speed traps
22 speed zones
20 danger signs
20 drift zones
10 trailblazer gates

So, that means there are a possible 309 stars to earn. So in order to get this achievement, you need to unlock 294 of them, which is basically most of them. In short, this is gonna take a lot of time and effort, namely because you need the right tools for the job. For most of the speed zones, traps, danger signs and trailblazer gates, grab yourself a Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Forza Edition 2011 and that can be maxed out to have 8.9 speed, 10 handling, 10 acceleration, 10 launch and 10 braking - that tends to do the job across the board. In fact, it can work for a lot of the drift zones too because of the sheer power and torque, but if you're struggling, try a specific drift car, like the Ford 88 Mustang RTR (2018) or the Formula Drift 64 Nissan 370Z (2018).

There's an issue with Sesto Elemento though: it's a Wheelspin car, so fingers crossed you got lucky like me. If not, buy a Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4, as that's a beast too.

It is not necessary to pass all daring tricks with 3 stars in this part; especially difficult ones can be left and not suffer. Ken Block's Ford Hoonicorn is perfect for the job! Moreover, I always thought that this car was purely for drifting, but it turns out that it also clicks in high-speed sections and radars and jumps! And both on gravel and asphalt. I went through everything on it.
