How to unlock the Covered in Mud and Glory achievement in Forza Horizon - Definitive Guide

This achievement will unlock after winning a Horizon Rally. This consists of four stages. Your time for each stage is added up and compared to other racers. If your final time is faster than all of your opponents, you will win.

Note that you do not need to win every stage to win the rally!

The first opportunity to win this is in the Beaumont rally. Feel free to turn the difficulty down, and the assists up if you are having trouble, as Rally driving is very different from the racing you will have got used to from the main game.

A Rally consists of 4 stages. In each stage you will race alone against other drivers' time. Just like in real Rally. In order to win the whole Rally, you need to have the fastest overall time counted together from all 4 stages. So don't worry if you don't win every stage, you can catch up in the next one. Setting the difficulty to easy and turn on all assists will make this easier.
