How to unlock the Gettin' It Done achievement in Forza Horizon - Definitive Guide
There are a total of 70 Festival races to win. New Festival races are added to your map as you obtain wristbands throughout the course of the game.
Races you have not competed in will say "NEW" above the map icon. If you compete in a race but do not win it, the "NEW" disappears while the icon remains colored. Winning a race greys out the icon, making it easy to keep track of what races you still need to win.
You can also see how many races you have won from the Stats page of the pause menu.
EDIT 1/24/13
Anth cF asked in the comments if these races have to be done before defeating Darius. The answer is no they do not. All races remain available after defeating him.

QQ: If i finish the game before doing all the events, will i be able to go back and do the older events? or do i have to do them now?

You will be able to compete in events even after you defeat Darius. The advantage of saving a few races is that the Ferrari you win from Darius is pretty awesome.
That applies to all race types, Festival, Street, and Showcase events.

This will become available once you have won the Gold Wristband. The Gold Wristband is the seventh and last wristband you will acquire as you move through the game. To earn a new wristband, you must earn a certain amount of points. Points are earned from completing and winning races/events.
Before collecting the wristband, it's a good idea to win all events, including the star showdown before moving on. All races/events can be replayed if you are unsuccessful. Also feel free to tamper with the difficulty settings.
