How to unlock the Golden Boy achievement in Forza Horizon - Definitive Guide

The Gold Wristband is the seventh wristband you will acquire as you move through the game. To earn a new wristband, you must earn a certain amount of points. Points are earned from completing and winning races/events.

Before collecting the wristband, it's a good idea to win all events, including the star showdown before moving on. All races/events can be replayed if you are unsuccessful. Also feel free to tamper with the difficulty settings.

A full list of races are shown here:

"Before collecting the wristband, it's a good idea to win all events, including the star showdown before moving on." Why is that? Thank you for the guide!

You should already know the drill by now but if you don't, here's what you do. Continue to win HORIZON FESTIVAL EVENTS as Street Races don't count towards your wristband. I personally recommend winning ALL of Festival Events from the previous Wristband levels before advancing to the higher level (e.g. Complete all of the Green Wristband Events before starting the Blue Wristband Events). Do this because the races will be easier, you can get a decent amount of Credits (Money), and you can advance your points needed until the next Wristband by a fair amount.

EDIT: I've included the list of races by drabik below me.

Even though I agree with your guide, I'm downvoting because you have directly copied another guide.

Actually, I gave credit to the author of the list of races. He even recommended that I add the list of races he made.

Also, I posted my guide first so how could the paragraph be copied from him?

I can't see that recommendation. And no, he posted the list in August, you re-posted in September, I detect a lie.

Regardless of the above; he posted a better guide than yours, then you later plagiarised it, I can't upvote that, sorry.

It was a private message. You accuse me of plagiarism but I clearly give credit to drabik.

People on this site continually improve their solutions, how is me adding a list of races that another gamer created and recommend that I add that same list too wrong?

I never said it was wrong, it just doesn't deserve an upvote because your solution became obsolete after Drabik posted a better one.

Would it be OK if I went around and PM'd everyone who has written solutions for the same achievements as my solutions, asking if I can copy and paste anything I missed into mine? I don't think so mate. They wrote their solutions, I wrote mine, it is pointless to copy a list from one solution to another when the person looking for a guide can see both anyway.

You've just pointlessly copied and moved someone else's work over to yours unnecessarily, it's already there for everyone to see.

You obviously scrolled down in the first place to see my solution. So, I add the list of races for people like you, who scroll down and look at the other solutions.

And on a separate note, do you go to every achievement solution and downvote the guides that aren't number one? Do you accuse every single author of an achievement guide of plagiarism? What kind of logic is that?

No you're the first. Do you go around copying everyone else's solutions?

How do I copy something that I authored first? There is only one solution to this achievement...is telling someone the ONLY WAY to earn this achievement plagiarism? I think not.

You wrote the first paragraph, you copied the list. Another better solution was written, instead of copying it for your own accreditation you should just remove your solution, as it is no longer necessary.

This website is about helping people get achievements, not who can write the most solutions. Lemme show you one example, taken from The Witcher 3's Walked the Path guide: http://i.imgur.com/gaNRN2O.png

I helped someone get this achievement. The author of the list said that I should add it through a PM. I even gave him credit for it so...I'm just confused on why you're so mad about this.

You really must not have anything better to do but annoy people minding their own business. Sad, you should go play some more games.

Where did you get the impression I was mad? I'm just trying to explain where you went wrong, you don't seem to be able to grasp it. Your solution is obsolete - therefore I downvoted it, the other 2 who downvoted before me obviously did it for the same reason. At least I had the courtesy to tell you why. I wish I never bothered now, sheesh!

I hope you can understand this time because I have made my point and I won't be commenting any further. Good luck.

I hope that you're not this much of an asshole on this site. The only reason you seemed to have downvoted my solution is because you don't like the fact I updated it with a list of races. If you truly have nothing better than that to do, you truly have reached rock bottom in you life. People like you ruin this site for other gamers, take that piss poor attitude to tumblr or neogaf if you just want to drag a community down to your level.

Ok. To beat this achievement you have to beat Hailey Harper in these 2 races.
1. Event type: Festival Race. Bose Speed Strasse. At Beaumont Canyon run. If you come first you get 210 points for wristband and earn 14,000 Credits.
2. Event type: Star Showdown. If you come first, you win a Saleen S7, and credits unknown. Points: None or Unknown.

Each Festival race offers wristband points depending on how you place, (the higher you place, the more points you will be awarded with.) These points are used to progress through the different coloured wristbands and open new events. As this is the means of progressing the game, you will unlock each wristband naturally as you progress through the game.

You can always revisit any event you have previously completed if you did not come first, and try again to unlock the remaining points. Any festival event you have won will have a gold trophy next to the icon on the map, making it easier to identify what events you can win and earn additional points in. As the number of points you can earn is based on your overall position, set the AI difficulty to easy and turn on all assists.

To unlock the next wristband and its associated achievement, you need to drive to the race central bay in the Horizon loop after obtaining each new level.
