To get this achievement you firstly need to view a replay of your race which is available after you have finished a full race (ie you've completed all of the laps...3/3 or 4/4) or view a saved replay from the "My Profile" section.

Then once the replay is playing scroll across to the make a movie tab (near the end, it is a picture of a film strip, 3rd from right) then click it and follow the onscreen instructions (basically just pressing

until it saves)... a progress bar will appear on your screen and it can take a while to save the movie.

Just to add, the view / save replay option comes up after you finish a race

If you happen to already have a saved replay, you can also go into "My profile" then "My replays", load a replay and make the movie as described above.

The 4gb console still has a HDD doesnt it? the video has to be saved to unlock the achievement, if you cant get it to save using the consoles memory try a USB drive? dont have much experience wiht the 4GB console sorry.

4gb is the size of your HDD... 4 gigabytes of storage...

@ cliveonezero I have the new 4GB xbox 360 s as well as a 8GB USB key. In order to hve the achievement, you need to have a HDD.

I suggest that you add to your guide that you do not have to drive a full race. I have done this by pressing start even before i raced 5 seconds and i got the achievement for making a movie for those few seconds.
It did not pop visually for me, but the achievement did unlock.

just to clarify something. the 4 GB slim did not have a 4 GB HDD, it has internal flash memory. there is still a hard drive slot in that model, which is empty and can support adding another drive. the last motherboards of the first "fat" 360 models had the same thing with either 256 or 512 MB internal memory.

Finish any single race you like, then as the menu pops up, select View Replay. Then select Make Movie, which is the third icon from the right during the replay, set quality as anything you like, but keep Movie Length as 5.0 s, and keep game speed at 50%. Then select create movie with A Button and it will start to upload. Once the upload is complete, you will get the achievement.
