- Free Play game
- Hot Lap
- Car: Ford Mustang Boss 429
- Turn off traction control and stability control
- Track: Benchmark Speedway Layout E or Twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway
- Turn on Drift Score
- Go to race!
- You need 5000 drift points or more.

Go to Free Play.
Choose Hot Lap.
Choose the Bugatti manufacturer.
Choose the Veyron 16.4.
Change the settings so:
- Braking = ABS OFF
- Stability Control = OFF
- Traction Control = OFF
- Rewind = ON
Choose Sunset Peninsula Raceway.
Choose Speedway or Speedway Reverse.
Then go to HUD.
Scroll down to DRIFT HUD and change it to ON.
Save and start the race.

Now to get the achievement you need to score 5,000 points on a single drift.
The track has two sharper turns and one very gradual turn.
Go around the first turn and do not drift, just gain speed.
As you are on the gradual turn (which feels like a straight away) put the pedal to the medal and get going as fast as you can.
Here is the tricky part, right when you get to the part where the track makes the sharper turn let off the gas, hit the e-brake (the A button) and turn the car.
If you mess up (which I did plenty of times) just hit Y (reverse) until you are before the turn and try again.

Doing it my way requires no DLC.(Which is why I made the guide because I don't have any of the DLC and had to do it this way.)
Hardest part is to not hit the wall.

The way i got this was to start a Hot Lap race (Via Free Play) using Bugatti Veyron 16.4 with the following difficulty settings:
Braking - ABS on (Can turn off if you wish)
Steering - Simulation
Stability Control - Off
Traction Control - Off
Other settings are personal preference
The track i used was the Sunset Peninsula Raceway - Speedway.

At the pre-race screen make sure to head to the HUD menu and change the Drift HUD to ON.

Once the race starts follow the track round and build up speed, once you get to the second turn hug the inside of the track and tap the ebrake ( button) and turn slightly into the corner, the car's rear will begin to tail out balance the slide till you have passed 5,000 on the drift then correct the slide to straighten the car out.

Once the score banks the achievement will pop.

To get a perfect Drift score, you need 4 of 4 bars.
4 of 4 bars = 5,000 drift score.
To show drift score instead of lap time, go into Options/HUD then scroll down until you see Drift and turn it on.

I got the achievement with a 240sx and a drift setup from the Storefront's.
I took it to the Benchmark Oval track, Indy track works too. Basically anything with a wide turn.
It'll pop once you achieve 5000 points for drift.
