This is identical to Forza Motorsport 3's Entrepreneur Achievement:

"This is really easy. All you need to do is list an item in your storefront either a Tuning Setup, Design, or Vinyl Group. You need to set a price to sell the item for and give it a name. Once someone buys your item you will receive a text message (LT button) go to your storefront and select recieve funds and this achievement will pop. If you are struggling selling your item get a buddy to buy it off you. You can see who has posted the item if you select it before buying."

When I was creating my item to sell, I made sure I gave it a unique description so that it was easily searchable when I used a second Gold account to purchase the item.

If you want to unlock this without getting someone to buy it from you that you know or a second account.

Make a random tuning setup - doesn't matter what car or settings you use , then call it like

BEST SPEED or BEST DRIFTER

use caps to grab attention

put it up for cheap like 1000 or 3000 credits

it worked for me and i saw guides for this achievement always mention a friend or second account so i thought i'd throw it up

It's a pretty cheesy way to do it, but you can unlock this with 5 minutes or so of work simply by creating a second profile and using that to purchase an item listed on your main profile. All you need is one of the free 48 hour trial Live access codes that come with a lot of games.

From the dashboard, create a new profile (or you can use an existing HDD-only profile) then click the option to join Xbox Live. You need not worry about the email address that you provide - you don't have to access it to validate the account or anything like that. Enter the code from the 48 hour code and you're done.

If the profile is new, you will have to go through the intro and the first race at Swiss Alps before you can start career mode, which you'll need to do in order to complete the first career race and generate some credits (since the minimum storefront sale price is IIRC 1000 credits).

Armed with your winnings, go to Community and to the Storefront option. You can use gamertag as a search field so just search for your main profile GT and purchase whatever you have listed for sale on the main tag's storefront.

It's easier to just get a friend to buy something from you but this may assist if you don't know anyone else who is playing Forza.

I simply named my primitive paint job "ACHIEVEMENT" and set it to the lowest amount possible. I also wrote in the description: "I will return the favor if you help me get this achievement".

Not 5 minutes later, someone bought my design. He sent me a message on my dash that said: "Just for you."

Don't go through the trouble of making a new account or getting your friends to help you. This way is MUCH quicker.

There are plenty of good folks online, like Proud Pompey in the first solutions guide, that are willing to help you out. Take advantage of their kindness. --And return the favor, of course.
