How to unlock the Forza Faithful achievement in Forza Motorsport 4 - Definitive Guide
The easy way to get this achievement for people who already started Forza 4 without a Forza 3 save to import is to make a Layer Group in the Forza 3 editor and then when you go to load group in Forza 4 you will be given an option to Import your layer groups from Forza 3.

Step 1: Miss the achievement at the beginning of Forza 4 by not having a Forza 3 save.
Step 2: Create and save a vinyl group in Forza 3.
Step 3: Import vinyl group from Forza 3 in Forza 4.
Step 4: Profit.

This solution is specifically for those who haven't played, and have no intention of playing, Forza3.
As you may be aware, in order to get a Forza3 savefile to import into Forza4 you need to play the first race in Forza3, which will automatically pop an achievement. For those who do not wish to 'blemish' their gamercard with Forza3 (ruining completion percentage, for example) it can be a headache, but there is a way around it that involves racing offline.
So... for a step-by-step guide:
1. Disconnect from LIVE,
2. Play the first race of Forza3,
3. Create and save a vinyl group,
4. Back up to the dashboard,
5. Delete your profile from your Xbox (Profile ONLY, not including items),
6. Reconnect to LIVE,
7. Recover your profile from the cloud,
8. Go to Forza4,
9. Select import vinyl group,
10. Import Forza3 vinyl.
Doing the above has the effect of popping the opening Forza3 achievements offline, but by deleting your profile before reconnecting, your online card has no record of Forza3, leaving you with just the vinyl group to import.
Note: This solution was originally posted by me in the comments section of another solution, but I figured it was worth posting separately as the original author has not updated his solution to take account of the fact that it is possible to get this achievement without having Forza3 on your gamercard permanently.
Credit to Rykin Poe for the knowledge that importing a vinyl group will pop this achievement.

Could you please clarify what do you mean by "Back up the dashboard"?
Do you mean exit to the xbox dashboard, or is there an actual step that requires making a back up of your dashboard (which I've never heard of)... Thanks in advance! :)

Start the game and after performing your first lap (Bernese Alps), it will ask you whether you want to start a new game or import your profile from Forza Motorsport 3.
If you choose to import, you will receive a number of extra credits (60,000 CR in my case) and a number of extra cars based on your garage in Forza 3.
You will still start at level 0, even if you import your profile.
You get some good cars by doing this depending on your level:
1: 2010 Abarth 500 Esseesse
5: 2009 Ford Focus RS
10: 2010 Chevrolet Camero SS
15: 2010 Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro
20: 2009 Bugatti Veyron 16.4
30: 2009 BMW #92 Rahal Letterman Racing M3 GT2
40: 2006 Aston Martin #007 Aston Martin Racing DBR9
50: 2009 Peugeot #9 Peugeot Sport Total 908
Aditionally, if you have these cars in Forza 3, you will receive the equivalant in Forza 4:
2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia
2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Coupe
2002 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type-A
2006 Subaru Impreza S204
2010 Ferrari 458 Italia
2010 Lexus LF-A
1981 Delorean DMC-12

Crap, I don't have 3 yet, was hoping its price would come down after 4 is released. Hopefully this will still work at a later date...?

The secret car is confirmed to be the Delorean DMC-12, available in the FM3 Community Choice car pack.

Luckily enough I was a big Forza addict before this game and I just happened to have a save on my HDD from FM3. If you don't, just rent the game or borrow it from a friend. Simples.
