You can grind this out on the Indy oval while listening to your favorite music and drinking your favorite beverage.
1) buy the chevy modern Indy car once you accumulate enough credits (note; if you have VIP status you will be gifted the E21 F1 car which can be used just like the indy car to grind.)
2) DL a tune from the tune set up manager (search under my GT for a good oval tune, you will hit 235mph on every lap and not have to lift).
3) use Free Play mode, set up a 20 lap race on indy oval, turn off all assists, except for damage until you get used to running the oval. Keep in mind, manual with clutch requires the use of LB to depress the clutch when you start out. Once you get moving don't worry about the clutch. Set drivatar difficulty to unbeatable, you will beat them easily and lap most of the field. Max out the opponent drivatars, 15.
Each race should take about 12-14min and net you 21000xp and well over 100,000 credits (if you have VIP status and use tokens double that easy).

Doing it that way is also good for getting your affinity level up. When I do this I snap Netflix and put a rubber band around RT and just watch my show while doing it. Also once I get my affinity level maxed for a car company I switch to another type of car, this method is probably the easiest but does get boring and repetitive after while since each 20 laps takes around 15-20 minutes max depending on the car.
