For this achievement you will need the DLC Chevrolet Impala. Once you have purchased this I would recommend heading over to Free play, select the west route, 1 lap, max AI 1 (this way you wont have to fight all of the cars for a gold medal position)
By doing this in Free play this will get you 5 of the 25 gold medals needed for the Long Beach Customs achievement.

I paid for the 2 cars now I can finish it. I hope they stop doing that and rather have free and paid DLC separate.

It appears Mulitplayer Private Match with 1 drivatar does not work for this Achievement, fyi.

Maybe you can still do it by playing while another player account who has the dlcs is logged in. It worked on Forza Horizon. Just download the DLCs, log in with both accounts and try to buy the cars with game credits.
Of course you will need a friend who has the dlcs and to be trustworthy enough to borrow them.

I can’t seem to unlock seem to achievement, I finish five races and get nothin. I can’t even get a progress bar going on it. Does anyone else have to say problem or know of a fix?

You need a trusted friend who has the car. They need to download your profile to their console, sign in as you. Log into Forza 5 as you, purchase the impala with CR.

Went to multiplayer and had my friend use the same track settings and race me which I was using my second gold account. Added 2 AI for fun. Worked like a charm.

I can confirm that you only need to do restarts and not go back to the menu. This was not clear in the solution.

I'm having problems with this achievement. I've won gold now three times (tried each track) and the progress bar is showing 0/5. But at the same time I can see I've progressed with Long Beach Customs (3/25) and Long Beach 101. I've got the right car. Is someone else having the same problem?
