This comes naturally from playing the game, just as does the little brother version
Pro tip: if you're winning races in 1st place, this will come quicker than if you're not. Adjust opponent difficulty so that you're finishing most races in 1st place.
IMPORTANT: Free Play counts! I wouldn't use this as a way to get it unless you're not gonna play the game normally, but it's good to know that any racing where you lead in Free Play does count toward these 2 cheevos!

Is this bugged? I have done the 50 laps on rains achievement and this is still 1% done.

Make sure that at any point in your career, you take the lead, driving in first place. Just keep this up for a total of 100 miles to fulfill this achievement.
