How to unlock the Geared Up achievement in Forza Motorsport 6 - Definitive Guide

So as the description says this is for equipping a NASCAR platinum badge.

To do this go to options from the main menu then select change badge. Use the cn_RB to get to NASCAR badges. This will show you what you need to do to earn the badges.

If you own the dlc you can just equip the one for owning the dlc (can someone confirm or deny this being platinum as I don't own the dlc).
Infinitelogic has confirmed that the badge for owning the dlc is not platinum- " Just to confirm that the badge for owning the Nascar DLC is NOT platinum, so I would suggest you go for the Perfect Draft or Distance driven in a Nascar badges if you want this quickly, otherwise just complete the Nascar DLC which will give the Platinum Expedition badge."


If you do not own the dlc you have 2 options of badge to go for: Perfect drafts and multiplayer quick stop races. My advice is to go for the perfect drafts as the platinum nicely lines up with this achievement for getting 100.

Once you have a platinum unlocked just hit cn_A with it highlighted and the achievement will unlock.

As an alternative method to getting this achievement I got 4 of the 5 "50 miles achievements" by doing custom multiplayer 1 mile 10 heat drag races with throttle rubber banded and just hitting A and X when needed (while watching TV) . Have tried 5 of the Joe Gibbs cars with no mileage showing towards that achievement. This gives 200 miles which Incidentally gives a Platinum badge, and, quicker still, getting 50 drag race wins along the way is a very easy way to get the Platinum badge achievement for 50 Nascar wins!

I'm not sure that a Nascar pack plat badge will count for "going platinum". I tried a porsche pack plat badge before getting that main game 'chieve myself & it didn't pop. I had to get a main game plat badge (level 50) to get "going platinum" to pop.

Fair enough, I thought any platinum would count but I guess as this is a separate achievement it does make sense for it not to count.

I equipped the badge for driving 200 miles in a NASCAR and the badge did not unlock and is not in the done unlocking state. Any ideas?

I did the endurance race in the NASCAR playlist which unlocked platinum badge for driving 200 miles on the track that comes with it. That popped this achievement for having a platinum NASCAR badge as well as equipping a platinum badge for the main game. Twofer!!

Nice, confirm it works today (No dlc).

After 100 perfect drafts. Go to options tab/change badge/(LB twice)NASCAR expansion/ equip in the draft. It will unlock 👍
