How to unlock the Traffic Jam achievement in Forza Motorsport 6 - Definitive Guide

Please note: This Achievement can be Unlocked even if you do not own the NASCAR Expansion.

Rolling Start races will occur naturally throughout the NASCAR-specific Career Mode, so if you are looking to complete the entire expansion then you don't need to focus on this Achievement in any great detail.

If you do want to specifically go for this Achievement however, the best way to do so is in Free Play, with the following Game Options. The track/car/lap selection is up to you of course, though I recommend a fast car (P or X-Class) and a short track in order to complete this in the fastest time possible.

Quick Stops (and the 2nd lap that is required for these) are optional but if you enable them you can get this Achievement at the same time:

Once you've completed a race you can select restart from the post-race menu and go again. Simply complete 5 races with these settings and you're done.

Combined, both Achievements should take around 10-15 minutes total (including loading times). I chose Road Atlanta Club and X-Class for my track/car combo.

Question: I do not own, nor do I plan on buying, the NASCAR dlc, but if I unlock one or both of these cheeves will TA assume I do? (and therefore cause my completion ratio for the game to drop substantially)
UPDATE: answer found elsewhere on site--TA will assume you have the NASCAR Expansion Update (just four cheeves), NOT the full expansion, and you can earn all four without the paid NASCAR dlc.

I think this means you can still get all 4 achievements by getting 'Dirty Air' (100 perfect drafts) which also gives you the platinum NASCAR badge to equip for the 'Geared Up' achievement. So, do all 4 at Daytona Oval - set 2 laps vs some AI cars, with 1 Quick Stop and Rolling Starts, Class X. Once you've done 5 races and got the first 2 achievements you can do 1 race vs 24 AI bot cars and turn off quick stops and turn up the laps to 50(?) - I assume you can quit the race after the 100th perfect draft as the Dirty Air pops. Then equip the badge - done. All should still be achievable despite Turn 10 bizarrely removing online and store DLC! shock angry

Update: After the Traffic Jam & Stop And Go achievements I switched to the bigger Indianapolis Oval as it has more straight, where drafting is easier. I used a P class Le Mans 24hr style car over 50 laps, vs expert AI and used assists. As soon as you see the notification for unlocking the platinum drafting badge you can quit the race to pop the Dirty Air achievement and then also apply the platinum badge to get Geared Up.

I don't yet have the NASCAR expansion and this solution worked perfectly. Did Daytona, 2 laps with Quick Stops and Rolling Starts, both achievements popped at the end of the 5th race. ;) smile

Good guide, but you should mention that you need to stop at the pit if you're going for the other achievement, in order for this one to count. I imagine that's why you're getting the negative votes.
