How to unlock the When in Rome… achievement in Forza Motorsport - Definitive Guide

You can do this in "Free Play" once you have completed the first series in Forza.

Once you are in the main menu, head to "Race" then "Free Play" then start up "Quick Play".

If you don't own the car, you can rent it free of charge, do note you won't get any Car Level progression.

In this case, choose the 2020 Ferrari Roma.

You want to choose "Circuit Race" - select "Mugello Circuit" and "Full Circuit"

It is up to you what weather and time you want. There is a weather related achievement for free play
Forza MotorsportRain or ShineThe Rain or Shine achievement in Forza Motorsport worth 20 pointsCreate and complete a race in the rain in Free Play

Choose 1 Lap and 0 Drivatars

Before you Start!

Once you have selected this, you'll at the track. I suggest, changing the Drivatar Difficulty to "Fastest" to help progression with this achievement - as there is no AI you still get progression towards it.
Forza MotorsportStiff CompetitionThe Stiff Competition achievement in Forza Motorsport worth 100 pointsComplete 10 races with AI set to the fastest difficulty

You can also unlock this achievement by having full Forza Regulations on and no penalties.
Forza MotorsportExcellenceThe Excellence achievement in Forza Motorsport worth 35 pointsFinish with no penalty with full Forza Race Regulations enabled

Complete the 1 lap and there we go! You will also unlock this achievement if it's your first race in free play.
Forza MotorsportFreedom! The Freedom! achievement in Forza Motorsport worth 16 pointsComplete a Quick Race in Free Play

You can get this easier by selecting Timed Race and setting it to 30 seconds, that's how I got it as it says complete a race not a lap.

The full circuit only took me a second. That's much quicker than the 30 second timed race.

I didn't even play the game, that was much quicker than the 1 second you wasted doing the full circuit.

In the main menu, head to Race then Free Play then start up Quick Event Setup.

Select buy or rent cars and then choose the 2020 Ferrari Roma.

Then set Game Type to Timed Race, set track to Mugello and set the track layout to Full Circuit.
