How to unlock the Shipwright achievement in Friday the 13th: The Game - Definitive Guide

So this one is very annoying. Boats are only guaranteed to appear on Jarvis House, with a possibility of it spawning on the "large" maps. A repair thankfully only means attaching one piece to the boat (gas or propeller) instead of fully repairing it. I recommend starting a private game on Jarvis House as Deborah, then checking for a piece of the boat. The game does like to spawn repair parts close to the boat itself, so start there and branch outwards. After attaching one part have Jason teleport over to you and kill you. This will count as one repair and one counselor game, so it's worth working on pretty early. The hardest part will be recovering a boat piece before the game crashes.

This is a great guide, I just wanted to add some locations for the propeller on the map, Jarvis House, for those who are trying to learn the spawns. Vitiated is right about the boat pieces typically spawning close to the boat. I would recommended clearing houses closest to the boat first, and have Jason check the lake house that’s closest to the boat for you to save time. Some games you may get lucky and quickly find both early on.
Propellers commonly spawn on small bookshelves that don’t have drawers, most of those spawn in the first room of the house (sitting area or dining room). They can spawn on; green trunks on the floor, on top of cardboard boxes, On green kitchen shelves, in the basement of Jarvis house on the white shelves, on the bookshelf on top of the stairs (third floor) of the house just north of Jarvis house.
You will never find more than one repair item in a cabin, so if you find the car battery move on to the next cabin. The spawns are completely random but are always close by the boat unless the car battery or a gas can takes the house first.
Last thing to note, I did this with two players (counting me) in the game total, I’ve noticed that if you play with three or more players, the spawns are changed.

I’ve come to notice the propeller tend to spawn close to the car to try to change your mind on which vehicle to repair.

the gas can has not been counting for me as a repair

Gas counts for me, just not every time. It did that with the auto repairs too, but it hurts more here since you only have 2 chances per map, not 4. Also, In all the games I've played, only once has a part spawned anywhere near the boat.

What also is annoying about this achievement is that it doesn’t increment properly. I’ve had lots of repairs not register and so I’m having to do extra. if you put gas in first, then propeller, it doesn’t always increment for two, so try to put propeller then gas.

The "Jarvis House" map is perfect for completing the trophy; there are two islands with houses - on the left and on the right. As a rule, one of them contains either a screw or gasoline. In addition, on the same map you can simultaneously repair a car.

To save time, I recommend:
-Repair only the boat on this map; as soon as you have done 2 repairs, you immediately kill yourself and start over again. Don't forget to select the Jarvis House card every time; in private matches the setting is always reset.
-In large houses, parts usually spawn in the basement, so look there and if it’s not there, run to look further. They almost never spawn in the houses themselves.
-Also remember 1 house = 1 part, if you find gasoline, then you won’t find a battery or a screw there. There is also no need to start the boat/car.

Useful map with all boat spawn locations and level map locations:

And finally, the screw is black and small, you may not notice it in a dark corner, so run with a flashlight.
The screw looks like this:

In one session, you can add gas or insert a screw, or do both. Then you will count 2 repairs to the boat, relatively speaking, as a prize, but in any case, only 1 repair per session will count towards the badge.
