How to unlock the Charcoaled achievement in Frostpunk: Edition - Definitive Guide
You are allowed to gather coal and any resources at the beginning of the game like normal. as well as get coal from outposts.
WARNING: BUT you CAN NOT BUILD ANY COAL PRODUCING BUILDINGS! ONLY charcoal kilns. The moment you build a single non-charcoal kiln building you will lock this achievement for the remainder of your playthrough
Recommend: Easy difficulty, and you can get a few other achievements while you aim for this one. (Better Than London/Worse Than London)
Tips:
Research sawmill ASAP then research charcoal kilns (to do this you need to research level 1 then that. I recommend doing this before day 4/5 as you will start to run low on coal).
Then just don't touch any other building.

Just finished the Lost Ark with this achievement. The amount of wood was just enough for saving New Manchester too. So without saving New Manchester, lost ask should be easy for this achievement.

Do you recommend a scenario for this? I assume Fall of Winterholm doesn’t work since I think it starts with a Coal Mine. The Arks is my go to scenario for oddball achievements as it has smoother resources available due to early automatons but there’s only one Wardrill location on that map and researching a high enough level Wardrill in time has been an issue (granted I was playing on Hard that time). A New Home is great except the campaign is long and I’ve no idea if you can stockpile 9000+ coal with just Kilns in time.
