How to unlock the Full House achievement in Frostpunk: Edition - Definitive Guide
Hi. I respect the other guide for this but I believe I have done sufficient testing and experimentation to write a more comprehensive one.
Some key things to note:
- This can ONLY be achieved in endless serenity mode. Don’t do what I did and try and unlock it in endurance, you will never get enough as the cap is around 650. From researching, serenity has a higher cap of 700.
- After the second storm, if you hit 600 survivors or more and then weather a further storm, survivors will STOP SPAWNING. This is really important. I wasted many hours believing that they would eventually spawn. They WILL NOT.
- I am led to believe that if you can make up the extra numbers with automatons. I cannot confirm this as I have not tested it but other reports suggest this is correct so if you have the steam cores you can make up the numbers with automatons.
- Use 3 groups of fully upgraded scouts. There is no rush for this achievement, but when required to do so at the key stage which I explain shortly you need to be as efficient as possible to ensure success.
In conclusion, I can confirm that by far the most effective way of earning this is to gather survivors until you are just short of 600. If you end up just over, kill some off until you are 599 or below. Weather the next storm. As soon as it ends, you will have 14 days to find and return as many survivors as possible. Send your 3 scouts out in different directions. Depending on the distance, don’t be afraid to send them to the city instead of escorting them, you could do without the delays. Try to get to every location available as fast as possible. Use already discovered locations to increase travel speed. Some quick maths will tell you when you have enough. You should pick up 100 plus if you make it to every location and once they return, it will pop as you reach 700.
EDIT: March 2021: in serenity mode (easy) I had 647 poeple and 53 automatons and the achievement pop (day 104). So even if you (like me) wasn't counting when you rescue poeple to be under 600 at the next storm, you can still do this achievement with automaton, just need to past many storm to have enough steam core. (Thanks to djpj for this info)
I hope this helps. I found this to be a frustrating achievement

I got this in 'Endless Serenity' mode. I had 685 population and then filled the rest to 700 with Automatons, since they also count toward population. Toward the end of the 100 days, you'll have plenty of steam cores to make them.

I just play 'New Home' scenario on easy to get this achi and in the last hour of storm i had 723 population (with 29 automatons). Achievement didn't pop up after finish and in the summary there was information that i'v got 694. So automatons didn't count :(

From other sources and also experimenting myself I can confirm that this can only be achieved in serenity mode. There is a population cap in all other modes that prevents you from reaching 700 plus
