How to unlock the Power Overwhelming achievement in Frostpunk: Edition - Definitive Guide

This is all done through your research tree, under the Heating tab.
You're gonna need a bunch of steel to complete the research, so make sure you have a Stealworks running at least.
The upgrades you need to research go all the way to level 5, so make it a focus to reach the bottom of the research tree. You need to research all of the upgrades to the Generators RANGE, POWER, and EFFICIENCY, as well as the overdrive couplings and generator safety bypass upgrades.

I popped this one without doing the generator safety bypass upgrade. I was playing on easy just in case that matters. Save that one for last (it's in tier 5 anyway and is not a prerequisite for any other upgrades.) and you will probably get the achievement anyway.

Oh also it will pop once you've completed your last upgrade, so you won't be in suspense at the end of your scenario.

Just popped it in Endless, so I can confirm it works. No safety bypass upgrade needed.

The Arks is such an easy scenario, just make a save on your playthrough to save New Manchester right before you send any relief expeditions off, you can simply reload and research all of these instead. You have so many steam cores you can research automatons acting as engineers and assign them to research upgrades around the clock (I had 4 research buildings). If you have enough resources to beat the scenario it ends the moment you send off the third relief expedition so I actually got Satellites (no generator range upgrades), then immediately reloaded and got this.

Upgrade the Generator to its fullest extent - this also works in the endless mode on easy.
