How to unlock the Super Snowballs achievement in Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight - Definitive Guide
If you look at the snowball bar during the game, there'll be a glowing line that'll move up every time you match that specific gem. Get that line to the end of the bar 3 times in one round and you'll get the achievement!
It's easier if you just use a second controller and play against nobody, since then you won't be disrupted by any thrown snowballs.
Edit: RazorPriest pointed out the following in the comments;
"the second controller will die too early if you just spam matches, since it'll get clogged with ice from all your regular snowballs. I always end up having to switch to it and clear some ice halfway through just to keep it alive"
I personally never had this happen to me, but best to keep in mind that it is a possibility.
I threw 9 snowballs, but only 2 were "Super Snowballs." As the solution says you have to get enough of the characters' color to move the little LIGHT line. once it moves all the way to the right, the next snowball will be Super. You need 3. It's hard.
Only tips I can add is if you have a choice of 2 matches, always go for the one of your color.
Try not to match "4" of another color, because the block stays on the board... which is only good if it's "4" of YOUR color, cuz then it stays and can be used to match 3 again.
Getting "5" is great for this, cuz you can use the snowflake block (after matching 5) to get rid of a certain color on the board.
Also, you can get really close to throwing a Super Snowball... and then get enough matches of different colors, and throw a regular snowball... then right AFTER, max out your Super.. and have to get a ton of matches AGAIN just to finally throw that 1st Super Snowball. I threw 2 and probably had about 90% to throw my 3rd and the match ended, but it's because my first Super took too long.
Everyone that is saying the 2nd player dies early? I just played like 20 rounds and that never happened once. Thumbs up to this solution even though I haven't gotten it yet. Because all the info is literally right there. We all were just doing it wrong.
To create a super snowball you will need to focus on a characters specific gem. You can make a combination with these gems or destroy them with a special gem like the Windchill or Glacier gem powerups. The line above the board will again move towards the right, once enough of a characters gems are destroyed they will throw a super snowball. A character's preferred gem is indicated on the character select menu in small, next to the face title. It is also shown on the flag next to the character during the multiplayer game. As an example: Anna's preferred gem is the purple square shaped one and Elsa's is the Icicle looking gem.
This will take numerous attempts. The best way to attempt this trophy is to make as make as many powerup gems of the other colours as you can. This will spawn in the different colour gems more frequently increasing the chances of you getting the characters specific gems to spawn.

In multiplayer, as you match the coloured crystals, your snowball meter fills up. You'll notice a glowing line sometimes - This is your Super Snowball meter. The more "preferred" coloured crystals you match, the quicker your Super Snowball meter fills up.
For example, Elsa favours the white crystals, so if you play as her, try to get as many of those as possible to throw a Super Snowball.
Keep going for those colours, and you should be able to throw 3 of them within the 2 minutes.
