How to unlock the Weather the Storm achievement in Fruit Ninja Kinect - Definitive Guide
Remember to equip the Lightning bolt. 2 pomegranates can be obtained in Classic Mode. These are the red round fruit with sound effect that you must hit combo's on. Slice away when you see one. You also get a extra life most of the times. The first one is easy and usually comes up on your way to 100 points. The second is trickier since there is a lot of annoying bombs so slice careful. I got pomegranate Nr.2 close to 300 points. *Luck based achievement*.

I believe the pomegranates spawn after an amount of time/fruit, NOT points. So don't worry about going for a high score, just stay alive. Be sure to equip the Lightning Bolt. Here's a repost of my strategy for CLASSIC mode:
----
This mode drove me crazy at first, but then I figured out the strategy -- hold your arms up in the air like you're holding two marionettes (it will get tiring). Your hands should be about halfway up the screen. Make SHORT slices when you go for the fruit, and don't try for big combos, even though that'll get you more points. Just slice each one individually most of the time (unless they're launched together), because you don't want to risk missing.
If you hit one bomb, it's game over, so that is your highest priority! Avoid the bombs, even if it means missing a fruit on occasion. Since you have three strikes, and every 100 points will take away a strike, it's not a really big deal to miss sometimes.
Listen for the bombs. When you hear a ton of fruit being "launched", it's okay to make big sweeps with your hands, if you're sure there was no bomb. Remember to slice in an arc if you need to avoid a bomb.
As someone else mentioned, fruit TENDS to go a bit higher than the bombs, but not always. But if you keep your arms in the air, that will help to avoid the bombs. Try not to drop your hands down too far, because that's when you'll accidentally hit a bomb that's just being launched.
My high score is around 450, and I really haven't played it that many times. Don't give up; it gets way easier.

Go to Sensei's Swag, equip the "Lightning Bolt", then go to Classic Mode. You will have a chance around 50-70 points to slice a fruit as much as you can within a limited amount of time. This is a pomegranate. You will see another one around 230-260. This achievement will take most of your time out of all the DLC achievements.
Bit later to the party here - I tried this lots of times and unsuccessful. I decided to hit the first one only a few times (rather than trying to get lots of points out of it), the second one then showed up around 250 points.
Good luck!
