How to unlock the All your camps are belong to us achievement in FUEL - Definitive Guide
Can't speak for everyone but I found the smaller vehicles (bike & quad) easier to gold star. so when you're getting close to 170 try jumping about & finishing off all of the bike races 1st, then the quad races to get the stars needed to unlock rainier peak.
There are 2 approaches to this achievement
If you are not going for the full 1k, then the guide by Doc Buddha's above is spot on, I would agree that the bike and atv races are easier as the races are shorter and the machines are smaller and tend to not knock you just past a checkpoint gate or stick on the front of your machine and bring you to a halt.
If you are going to go for the full 1000, then you will probably want to go for legend staright away on each race, if that's the case then there are some considerations to bear in mind.
The AI are bastards. They will rubber band you, they will knock you off track, they will push you just outisde of the checkpoint you are going for, they will decide to put themselves sideways on the front of your car, or brake and stop you moving forward and off course on legend difficulty the 1st place racer will pull at least 500m ahead if you make the slightest mistake, or get done over by the other AI racers.
That said, I was still able to win some races 1st try, but others took many retries, all down to the horrible AI. It will piss you off, but that makes beating them all the sweeter.
For the career in general, try to save your fuel for the higher spec machines you will need later on, they are pretty expensive, but there is no way you are going to win some races without them. Complete the challenges, get the purple trucks for free machines, and pick up the barrels while on free ride to give you more fuel/money to buy better machines as needed.
If you do focus on getting legend on each race before you progress this will unlock after you finish the last race on the "Roughwood Hill" area, if you play them in the order they apear, "Dustbowl City" will be on the 2nd page of the level select list.
