I recommend doing this on the Leap of faith course at Offshore Shack camp, as it is short and with only four checkpoints its hard to get lost.
When you start the race and it counts down to start press the b button, that turns the gps off, then win the race and the achievement pops

no i dont , i dont remember if theres something about the timing with turning the gps off

The race I used was A Bridge Too Far in Drownington Cove. It's a closed circuit race where you can't get lost. I used the King Arthur for the win at the 1 star level race. Remember to have the GPS turned off, by hitting the

This one is best to do on the first career race, it's important you make sure GPS is turned off before the race.
