How to unlock the Gear freak achievement in FUEL - Definitive Guide

You get one piece of gear per won race - one star is enough to unlock them - so, that means you have to do each race?

Not quite - these count, too:

Put those codes in the "Bonus Codes" menu (third from the right):
18041851 - Vehicle: Warrior
18021974 - Livery: Butterfly
17121973 - Livery: Lightning Bolt
48992519 - Camo Army Helmet
20061977 - Road Addict Jacket
91031985 - Speed Angel Shorts

To get this you need to win races. You do not have to get three stars you only need one. All races will unlock one piece of gear so you need to win all 72 races. Only liveries unlock after the one that you start off with count towards this.

This unlocks late in the game, for me I did the career races in order, and it poped after completing "Downhill Jam" in the final area "Ranier Peak"

Same for me, i've yet to attempt the last race (have 3 stars on all others) and i've unlocked the achievement. It popped on Rainier Peak though so probably in the same place.

After you win a career race a piece of gear is unlocked for your character. This trophy will unlock after the last race you win.
