How to unlock the Obsessional challenger achievement in FUEL - Definitive Guide
My route for the hardest challenge of the game, in my opinion. And the 1 and only time I've managed to complete it.
Sorry for the poor quality, it is my first attempt and I only used my mobile phone.
Hope it helps.

ENDURANCE CHALLENGE at DEAD LADY LAKE
The most challenges in this game are easy when you know the track.
But this is one of two challenges that is hard to beat, because every time i played, a massive bug occurs at checkpoint six (see the video below).
Another bug was the fact, that every time i passed this checkpoint and placed in 1st position, i get no credit and the AI won the race.
I added a video that shows the first described bug in the PS3-Version of the game, but the same occurs in the XBOX360-Version every time i played the game. (credit for this video goes to http://www.youtube.com/user/FerraroFinn)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, now here is the strategy that worked for me, the first time i tried it.
Start the race and stay in 2nd position until you passed the last checkpoint. (In my race i had only one AI opponent that still drive correctly, so after the sixth checkpoint it was a two man race for me.)
Now, when you passed the last checkpoint, drive perfect and beat the rest of the AI opponents that drives with you and pass the "Finish" in 1st position.
That is/was the only method/strategy that worked for me.

This one has been driving me insane, but finally worked it out. Stay in second or below crossing all checkpoints until the glitched one, Pass this also in second but as soon as you do turn around and burn back up the road you just came down. If you do this quick enough no other riders will follow you. Just stick to the path without crashing out or cutting any course and you should be able to drive on your own all the way to the end crossing all the checkpoints.

Thanks so much Bawhawhaw . I can confirm that staying behind first works , i crossed the glitched checkpoint in third so as long as your not in first it should work so don't worry if your not in second. I made sure that i didn't crash and get reset so i'm not sure if getting reset effects it . Try not to crash anyway there is no competition once you pass the glitched checkpoint so you can go as slow as you want

The two toughest challenges by far that I ran into are the Rainier Peaks Blitz and the White Flats Checkpoint Run. Both of them require near-perfect runs to beat them. Everything else I was able to beat in one or two tries (occasionally using the vehicle select glitch).
For the checkpoint run, you have to use the drag racer (no other vehicle will go fast enough for you to win) and even then it will be decided within tenths or hundredths of a second. See the video for someone beating it.
For the blitz, there are several shortcuts through the trees that you pretty much have to take; the most important probably being down the hill between checkpoints 6 & 7. If you can have 5 or more seconds left when you hit checkpoint 7, you're in good shape.

White Flats is fun! :) I almost had it at 2nd try. Then I believed I'm gonna do it 3rd try. But no :) Then I understood what were you guys talking about :) It took 10 or so tries. I think one should finish under 1:02.5 to win the challenge (my winning time was 1:02.11). Aim for the inner poles, like those were your apexes! Turn very gently. If you are not in the red when you hit the 13th checkpoint, then you have good chances.

Every zone has 10 challenges but only 3 are discovered for you. The other 7 need to be found either by driving around, or ramming the aforementioned Doppler Trucks marked by the red arrow on the map and unlocked by winning a career race. You are given only one choice of vehicle to attempt the challenges with and some need to be bought. You can approach this two ways: Leave the challenges until the end when you have more fuel than you know what to do with or save your fuel and when the time comes that you need to buy the vehicle. I used the latter because I liked to get every camp done and out of the way.
