I think the original idea for this was that you collect all the liveries 'in the field' - 74 vehicles x 2 extra 'in the field' liveries for each vehicle = 148.

However my 'chieve popped after I got to 143. The reason for this, I think, is that each vehicle comes with a livery already (74) + I had used the bonus codes for the warrior which comes with 3 liveries straight off & for the (1 each) extra liveries for the sludgeray & mudhog vehicles (5 - these count towards the achievement but do not show on the stats screen livery total).

So 74 from finding/buying/winning all of the vehicles + 69 found in the field = 143, + 5 from bonus codes = 148, leaving 79 still to be collected in the field after the achievement has popped.

The quickest way to get the achievement :
Create a custom race with only a start and finish. THe finish should be near the point you have to go.
Once it's create test your race. Then choose freeride and go visit your vista or get a new deleveries etc...

The achievement description and the solution by Doc Buddha pretty much tell you what you need to know, but in addition....

There are several potential ways of unlocking this one, but it's not going to be super quick whichever way you go.

If you complete the career races in each area, you will unlock a livery (blue) dopler truck and occasionally (purple) bonus vehicles. Chase down and collide with these to collect the bonus machines and unlock all of the livery points in that area (you will still need to travel to the actual point itself).

Buying vehicles will help if you want it quicker, but if you intend to get the 1000g, make sure you do some challenegs to get you cash up, as the later machines are quite expensive compared to the early machines.

Once you have collided with the livery dopler truck, you can use the trick described in Sushicrut's solution to get to the livery locations quickly.

If however you are going for the full 1000g, then I would recommend getting dropped off at the nearest Helicopter point, as you will need to use them 100 times to get



then ride/drive to the destination as you will also need to rack up the mileage in freeride to get



the larger of the distance travelled achievments, you can also work towards getting 200 tricks and 500 oil barrels as you go.

I found that by using a good offroad bike (Valkyrie ideally) you can get close to where you need to go without coliding with too many trees etc, then to collect the livery points that are high up on the top of a mountain I switched to The Educator as it seemed really good at getting up steep slopes easily.
