How to unlock the Expert Team achievement in Fuga: Melodies of Steel - Definitive Guide

This is a time consuming achievement so I recommend saving it for last. I unlocked it on my third playthrough during chapter seven, using new game plus two times. Ideally, you'll already have some characters at or near level 50 by the time you focus solely on leveling up. While you may be tempted to take the most difficult paths on your second or third playthrough to maximize XP against enemies, I actually recommend taking the easiest paths and focusing on sleeping in the dormitory and doing expeditions to get multiple characters experience at a quicker pace.

With a fully upgraded dormitory, you can spend 5 AP to let 6 characters get 3,000 XP each. If you spend all of your AP on sleeping you will get 12,000 XP for each character during intermissions and most stages have three intermissions. At level 49 I needed a bit more than 50,000 XP to get a level, so it may take 4-5 intermissions of doing nothing but sleeping to get a level. But if you take the easy paths you'll reach intermissions fairly quickly.

If you have fewer than 6 characters to level up, you can instead opt to spend 5 AP doing the hardest expedition, the level 3 forge god one. It will earn you roughly 5,000 XP for 3 characters provided you earn an S rank on it. The expedition is a bit of a maze though, requiring you to pay attention and not waste ammo shooting down the wrong walls. Because it forces you to walk back and forth through the dungeon multiple times, I only did this to boost characters who were significantly under-leveled. Like the dormitory, it can be done 4 times per intermission.

The achievement unlocked for me after I got the last character to level 50 after a battle and had exited the victory screen.

The fact Britz comes in at Chapter 6 ish, and leaves around 11, complicates the timeframe. The first time he joins in play through 1, I believe he comes in at, or around the average level of group. However it doesn't work this way on the 2nd or 3rd game. It's not going to matter too much, but I wouldn't avoid leveling Britz too much.
He came into party game 3 at level 47 for me. So there may be no way around playing up to Chapter 7 , 8, or 9 to on round 3 to finish this. Basically the whole Chapters 1-6 are wasted, just waiting for him to join as the others level to 50 easy enough. Just get him to 50 before end of Ch. 11. .

50 hours or more. The TA rating was misleading on this game before game pass added it. It jumped from 2.3k to 5.2k rating due to these last 4 achvmnt.

Something to note, you need to get level 50 with all characters, not just the ones you actively have.

I would recommend taking the safe paths all the way until you get Britz then start taking the dangerous paths from there when this is one of your last achievements.

This is so frustrating. If there would be any higher brain activity required, fine. But once you’re in the middle of playthrough 2, the game is reduced to alternating between mashing A to attack and holding Y to skip the cutscenes. Sometimes throw a fireworks or link attack… leveling 45-50 is just so unnecessarily slow. I would recommend making leveling Britz the #1 priority even during the first playthrough already.

Britz joined my 3rd playthrough at 46, though he was 48 at the end of my 2nd.
Took me till the end of chap 8 to get him to 50.

I can confirm, if you got Britz to lvl 50 before he leaves in act 11. And you get everyone else to lvl 50 during act 11/12 while he is gone, you still get the achievement! Thank god. Saved me from having to play a 3rd playthrough.

Wow, this got annoying pretty quickly... Britz definatly is a problem, watch out for that early on. I have noooo idea on how people can finish this in only 2 playthroughs... was deep in playthrough 3 to finish britz.

I'd recommend doing elite battles, I was getting 7,000 to 8000 experience for each one.

Just wanted to add that if you use the soul cannon, the next intermission someone can examine it in the basement for a HUGE amount of XP. So if you're doing a "bad ending" run you can definitely squeeze some extra XP this way

This was my experience: after some chapters on my 2nd playthrough, I started cooking whatever game me extra XP and extra affinity points. Also, I would take whoever was the last to join my group and do as many things as possible during intermissions and expeditions. Plus, all the new kids were actively fighting. I would also go for the elite battles all the time (I also did that during my 1st playthrough except for the last chapter).
By doing that, I got Britz to level 50 before he left. By the end of the 2nd playthrough, I had 7 characters at level 50. Unfortunately, Chick didn't make it, but Hack did. So all I had to do was play my 3rd playthrough until the twins joined the group and get Chick to level 50 while leveling up the original kids. Achievement unlocked!
