There are only three races in the Overtake series. These races require you to take out competing racers, which are spaced farther apart rather than in a close-knit pack.
I recommend outfitting your car with missiles. Use the X button at the weapon select screen to balance your missiles to Level 3.
You need only meet the survivor (bronze) requirements for each of the three races in order to unlock the Achievement.

The, Can, Within
The point of these “races” is to finish point-to-point circuits within a set amount of time, while eliminating a certain number of opponents. Concentrate on elimination so that you’re free to race. Opponents will respawn and you can kill them several times.
