The achievement is still glitched. I finished ranked 108 said i got gold and it didn't pop. I did however use a combo of both strategies of getting smart fold and getting take down spree seemed to work really well.

This achievement was said to have been fixed a month ago, but there is still something fishy about this achievement. Either the achievement's description is inaccurate or it is still glitched as of 4/26/11. Last night I played with a group of friends in the Texas heat event. A friend in the group won gold medals twice that night and did not unlock the achievement. I won a gold medal in the final game and unlocked the achievement.

Even if you get busted down to a lower table, you can still win. I was knocked down all the way from the triple to the single diamond table. But while there I just did 2-3 raises (hit the RB button that many times) pre-flop. The AI kept folding whenever I did this, and I ended up going from 25th to 1st place like that! I finished with just over 17k EXP and came in 755th place (and finally got my achievement).

The achievement is still glitched. With my calculations I came in the top 11% that night, while other nights I always come in the top 10% but always get silver.

One time my Xbox froze during the results, and I knew I would've gotten gold. But after I rebooted I saw that I received a "Gold Performer" title, meaning I got gold but there were no achievements to be had =C

This will be the hardest achievement for the game. At the end of the round, you will be shown how much XP you earned that round. You don't have to be #1 but you do have to be atleast within the top 15% to get the Gold Medal. However, this isn't just the room you are in, this is for everyone playing at the time. I got this achievement by repeatedly folding and getting smart fold bonuses (except for one time, I went all in with pocket jacks and won) and got 19,000 xp. The winner had about 29,000 xp so you don't earn a ton of xp to get it. I would say if you have 17 or 18 thousand xp you will get it. You will also earn some bonus xp at the end of the game so don't panic if you are short before the game is over. Also, make sure you do not leave the game before it shows the board. Doing so will cost you the achievement.

A good tip would be is to change your avatar to a female and play on the ladies nights. Since the majority of the players in Texas Heat have male avatars, a female avatar could give you an advantage with the extra XP.

**Now unattainable as of 5/28/11, due to Spring season ending**

Get around 15-17K XP in one Texas Heat show. Depending on how many players there are playing depends on how much XP you need during that show.

Try to only play with the bots since they don't take forever to take turns. If you get matched up with other players just quit out and rejoin Texas Heat.

Getting bonus xp from a previous Texas Heat show really helps.
