How to unlock the In The Money achievement in Full House Poker - Definitive Guide

Update: as per comments -
I also won a pot for $2.1 million and no achievement, so I went to menu and quit to dashboard.

Came back and the achievement popped as soon as the game loaded.

Might want to add it to your solution!

^That also happened to me. You should update the solution with this info.

UPDATE: It's important to remember that if you put say $500,000 Into a pot and other players put a total of $750,000 into the pot and you win.... THIS WILL NOT pop the achievement. Because you only WON $750,000. So if you put in 1 million and other players match 1 million, and you win.... The pot is $2,000,000 but you won $1,000,000..... This will pop the achievement.

This is going to take some skill.
If you have a bankroll of 1 million + this will be easier
You should have at least 250k

Start a game vs 1 CPU player, 250k no limit, high
Go all in when you get a really good hand.... You must earn 1.25 million or more on the table, then LOSE 1 million to the CPU player and gain 1 million again yourself. After you have 1 million+ and the CPU player has 1 million, go all in, win his 1 million and the achievement will pop.

The thing is if you have over 1 million bankroll this will be way easy as you can go all in on bad hands to get the CPU bankroll up and just keep rebuying yourself in. I did this all in 20 minutes with a 1.2 million bankroll. I ended up with 2.4 when I cashed out.

You could also play Texas heat tourneys and try to amass 1 million and hope another or other players go all in and it totals a 2 million + pot.

FYI - This achievement is retroactive. I downloaded the new Fall Season DLC, loaded up FHP and it unlocked right away. I'm positive I've won a million chips + more in a few triple diamond tables, during Texas Heat over the last year or so.

Are you 100% sure that you only put in 1 million and not even 1,000,001?

I don't know man. It worked a charm for me.... Hmm try this... Do like my guide said buy ONLY allow the ai to get 1 million and once he has 1 million go all in on that hand... Even if it's crap. This way you will be winning exactly 1 million ... I mean that's what I did so it may work.

The other player(s) must put atleast 1,000,000 chips into a single pot in order to get this. If everyone else ends up putting in 999,000 and you've put in 1,001,000 (2,000,000 total), this will not pop.

I first tried 1 player tourney w/ 250,000 buy-in, 1 table, no limit. Ended up going all in w/ a little over $1MM but the pot somehow came up short on the other end, so I spent over an hour building up for nothing...

So then, I played 1 player vs CPU tourney, 250,00 buy-in, no-limit, 3 tables w/ 10 players at each table. I waited until it came down to me and one other CPU left and we each had well over $1MM, I wanted to make sure the other player put more than the minimum $1MM because it takes some time getting through 3 tables of playing and didn't want to risk not having the CPU not putting in enough. Once I knew I had the winning hand, I went all-in and the CPU followed... SUCKER ;)

Just a comment, I downloaded the DLC, played 1 vs 1 against the CPU 250k buy in.

We both put in over 2 million in chips all in. I won and got 4 mill plus in chips and no achievement. I retired from the game, when to the main game screen and quit out. Then I loaded the game again and when I got to the main screen it popped.

This may happen to others so be aware its a little buggy.

I replayed the next day, won EXACTLY $1m from the CPU, and nothing happened. Remembered reading this thread so went to dashboard, back into game and **BADOOP!** Glitchy mofo, just glad to have it! Now for the 2500 Texas Heat grind! >:(

One of your methods worked for me. I played against the AI, 250k buy in, and just kept going all in. This way, the AI or I would win in handy 250k increments, forcing the other person to re-buy 250k chips and we'd just keep going. This way, it was obvious when each of us put 1 million in the pot, and I got the achievement when I won the hand.

how do you gain million again when you lose a million to the computer. arent you just taking away from the computer and the money would be going back and forth? i'm just a bit confused on how you and the CPU are to both have the million chips.

You are losing your own money to the CPU and rebuying with your own cash.
Or you win all the CPU money and he will rebuy in.

If you have completed the original 200, you will already be at level 50, and will have unlocked the 250,000 buy-in for tournaments. If not, then it is advisable to get to level 50 before going for this one. Start a standard game with 10 players per table, with a 250,000 buy-in. Every single hand, go all-in. You are bound to lose a few and go bust, but you can re-buy-in as many times as you like. After a while, there will be a lot of chips at stake, and some amateur players who like to go all in. Eventually, there will start to be some huge pots available, and you need to take a big one. Note that you have to win a million credits, not including your own. If you have busted a few players and busted yourself a few times, there will be millions of chips on the table, get yourself a few million, then carry on going all in. If you go all in with at least a million, and you get called and win, you should unlock this. Carry on with this method, and getting 10 million chips for "High Roller" should be well within your reach.

This solution relies on a combination of skill and luck. Play an episode of Texas Heat and play your way to the triple diamond table. Avatars seated at this table are given 250,000 chips in addition to any already won on lower tables. When the pot reaches 2 million + the winning hand gets this achievement. Cheers!
