How to unlock the Poker Fan achievement in Full House Poker - Definitive Guide

This solution is the best that I found for a single player using a turbo controller. Other methods may work better using two players and this will also help you get the 10 Full Houses achievement. The method I am currently using is:

Set up a Single Player Match:

Mode: Standard
Game Format: High
Betting Limit: Limit
Buy-in: 250
Turn Timers: Off
Players per table: 2

When the match starts press Start and then Sit Out. The hands will still be dealt and will still count. You can then use the turbo controller to press X continuously which will buy you back in each time at 250 chips. You just need to make sure you have a lot of chips when you start. I had well over 2,000,000 so it wasn't a problem.

I played approximately 1,500 hands over the 12 hours of leaving my Xbox on. I am currently at around 7,500 hands so I should have it soon. (Have it now)

Let me know if find any variations of this that work better by leaving a comment below. Good luck.

well i did the sit out method and now i wont earn XP for 4,000+ of my "next hands" so i dont know how serious of a thing that is...im max level so i dont care but if you're trying to reach level 50 and cant earn XP on hands that might be an issue.

I'm doing it the "normal" way, playing through hands in a 2 player tournament with the turbo set to A. It's working fine, and it's averaging out so far that I'm not winning or losing too much "money".

So im starting to do this but when I sit out the hands fold. Does it just still count even though the hands are played? I'm just confused on how the full houses work if you are folding

First off to check how many hands you have played so far go to "Help & Options" --> "Career Stats" on the menu.

This method is the fastest there is, there is 2 ways of doing it, 1) without Turbo Controller, 2) with turbo controller.

Without turbo controller:
Load up single player, Mode: Standard, Game Format: High, Betting Limit: Pot limit, Buy-in 1000, Turn Timers: Off, Players per table: 2.

Edit: You supposedly can use 1000 buy in and get the same results. Credit goes to: KP ScuzzyBunny

Now you just have to hit the B button, this takes 1 hand, meaning you have a free hand and free eyes, you can do anything you want as long as you keep pressing B. Everytime you fold it counts as a hand played. For me, I just watch show's or netflix on my laptop.

With turbo controller:
Read everything without turbo controller, but instead you pushing the B button just let your turbo controller do it. If you leave this on over night or just let it go at work you will return with over 500 hands played.

Edit: As said by another player the game seems to have a safety feature to prevent people from cheating so check back if you can every once and a while to make sure it is still going. Credit goes to: KP ScuzzyBunny

If there is any questions just ask, if there is anything I am missing or possible to alter to make it fast LMK please. This method will net you this achievement in no time!

Just FYI...I am working on it using 1k buy in (lower blinds, cheaper buy in if it matters) and get about 250 hands an hour. 250 x 4 x 10 = 40 hours (if starting from 0)

NOTE: Tested it out, and 1k buy in and 25k buy in get you just about the same # of hands at the same rate (around 250/ hour...it differs because you can still win hands if the AI folds before you do). Check back about every hour, as either buy in takes roughly that long to force a re-buy. Also, little known fact, if you pause the game and choose "re-buy" before you are at 0 you can reset your chips to the original buy in from your bankroll...nice time extension if you are going to bed or running errands or something.

The game has some "safeties" built in now, so if you run a turbo folding for too long, the game puts you "sitting out", but instead of folding you go all-in every time!

I have not had this "sitting out" happen to me, but if you are using a turbo controller that may be why. So you should make sure to check if you are using a turbo

To make this more complete you should add how to check how many hands you've played. "Help & Options" --> "Career Stats"

is this a time sensitive achievemnt?

I don't think it's time sensitive, i just got it after getting 2 achievements from the fall 2012 dlc. Anyone who didn't download the summer 2012 dlc might be out of luck since it's been delisted, unless the achievements also included in the latest dlc.

Another method you can use in conjunction with the above methods is to use the Windows Phone version of the game. Since the two games are linked on the servers, I am able to play both at the same time and hence nearly doubling the amount of hands I can play. Playing heads up on the WP while using a turbo controller on the XBOX is probably the quickest way to earn the achievement. Hope this helps.

Full House Poker isn't available on the WP 8 handsets.

I respect this tactic, it's a faster way and because you are actually playing it's not cheating as long as you don't play yourself in either version. Cheat on your wife never cheat on a game.

My method is slightly different, but also helps towards some other dlc achievements.

Set up a single player game, with two players.

Set the buy in to zero

Set a turbo controller to press A

This will mean that you play and call every hand, but when you are out, the same tournament will start up again.

This allows the console to work at winning 25 tournaments, winning 10 hands with a full house, getting a flush on the river, as well as the 10000 hands.

The hands may be slower than other methods, but other methods do not play the hands, so these other achievements cannot be unlocked
