Edit/add on 31/7/2012
Ta 4 the comments fellow gamers. Read below 4 individual comments and credits go to them but here's abit of a summary.
The dlc's for Full House Poker R free and the summer achievements Winners Circle, summer 2011, Gold Medal Champion Summer 2011 and Hot Pot Master, Summer 2011 are unobtainable as are the achievements for the spring collection Hot Pot Master Spring 2011, Gold Medal Champion Spring 2011 remains unobtainable unless the developers are planning to split the seasons again and let us go get them I don't think it would be that hard and they have managed to squeeze in Avatar Fame Star. Thanks again 4 the input
I received my achievement doing this so I can confirm that the chips DO count that you win after exiting and re-joining, as long as you finish the session…
SO
My method would be to Move All-In with a decent hand, or ANY hand early on in the round, because you will A.) Double/Triple/Quadruple up or B.) Bust out, and then re-join the session and get back to the Triple Diamond.
If you re-join and end up at the Double or Single Diamond tables, just exit and try again.
However, later in the round, say around the 5:00 minute mark, I would re-join for the final time and try to play conservatively if you haven't amassed a big amount of chips yet so you will finish with at least $250,000, give or take.
You can risk missing the Triple Diamond if you push for it too late, however I did join once with 2:34 left and went All-In and ended up winning around $600,000 =)
So, theoretically you don't NEED to play the first 15-20 minutes at all, you can join and get to the Triple Diamond table and just finish up the end of the round, if you have something else to do around the house. But, playing from the start gives you a good chance of amassing a large amoung of chips because it eliminates the risk of losing an All-In bet.
Good Luck!
Also note that it took me around 7 million for my achievement to pop, and I didn't clear cache. I don't know what the deal is with it but I suggest just keep pushing until it pops… using this method it should cut down on the frustration quite a bit, if you get frustrated, just join a session that's almost done and win $250,000...
Maybe they will do a "retro" event and turn them back on, but for now, they no longer work.
In 4 rounds of Texas Heat on 7/28/12 I won 2 Golds, multiple Hot Pots, and over 8 million chips...no achvs, just FameStar points earned.
Simply just keep playing the Texas Heat games. There are different tables with different amounts of starting chips: Diamond (2,500 Chips), Double Diamond (25,000 Chips), and Triple Diamond (250,000). However, you will not be able choose which table you go to. Tables will be assigned depending on how you do. You will be placed at a table to start at and if you are doing good, you will get to moved up, if you bust on Double or Triple, you will get moved down to the next table. At the end, you will get to keep a precentage of you winnings. You will also get chips for how depending on what your best hand was.
**Note (22nd May, 2012): Despite the date, there are reports that the achievements are still popping.**
