How to unlock the Burger Well Done achievement in Full Throttle Remastered - Definitive Guide

***Please Note*** - The whole end sequence is on a limited time so don't waste it. I recommend knowing what to do in advance instead of trying to read along as you go. You will also want to save your game before finishing in the projection booths. Once you expose Ripburger you will need to do this right the first time or risk a replay.

From the front of the truck...

Use your hand on the engine grate. Use your hand on the panel between the engine and the windshield. Rip will try to close it with his cane. Immediately use your hand on Rip's cane. This may take a few tries since he is quick. Use a bunny on the engine if you want that optional achievement (Rabbit Ragu). Once you have the cane, use it on the engine. The engine stalls and Ben goes through the engine compartment. When he emerges in back, use the tire iron on the right (upper) hose. It can be tough to see but there is a nut about two "sections" from where the hose is connected. If you use the tire iron here, another cut scene will start. When it is over, you will be inside the plane and the achievement will pop.

Once in the plane, use your hand on the ladder once. Ben will walk in front of the truck and get shot at. Use your hand on the ladder again. Ben will climb up into the cockpit. Click on the middle panel. Select "Take Off". Then select "Post Take-Off". Then select "Gear". Lastly, select "Raise Gear". After a short cutscene, you will regain control of Ben on the truck.

Please note there is the opportunity to gain an optional achievement "LOOMing Seagull" before completing this achievement. If you are going for it, enter the truck cab. Click on the button just under the middle display. Choose "Main Menu". Then select "Defense Systems". Then select "Machine Guns". Then select "Fire". The LOOMing Seagull achievement will pop. After Rip makes his comment start the real end sequence below.

Enter the truck cab. Click on the button just under the middle display. Choose "Main Menu". Then select "Defense Systems". Then select "Machine Guns". Then select "Control". Finally choose "System Off". A cut scene will show Ripburger's demise at which point you will earn the achievement. After the scene ends, walk Ben a little to the left and use your motorcycle to escape to trigger the end.

If you fail just once, load your save game and try again. The game will automatically restart the end sequence. Even if you complete the entire sequence, the achievement won't pop.

Instead of paragraph on plane steps, put options to choose in each line. Too short time to read para and act. Truck cab too.

Thank you. Shame I missed this on my first playthrough. I was following the TrueSteamAchievements guide and it was nowhere near explicit enough where to save and be careful.

I haven't tested it myself but I presume if you save a game in the media room you should be able to retry this if you mess up. Any save later than that is too late.

Yes. Having a save in the media room (or even the office before it) will allow you to run the full ending again. I died on my first run through, and I used my save to get it on the second pass.

I followed the steam guide too and it didn't mention about how this achievement is potentially missable. Was lucky that I made saves all the time so I had one at the media room. Re-did the steps from memory and got the achievement immediately upon entering the code to turn off the controls.

I've tried this several times without dying, but getting shot at twice when in the plane and it just wont pop. Does getting shot at twice invalidate the achievement?

I followed the steam guide and now I have to play the whole game over LOL. God man I'm so unlucky. I can't believe it man. I don't think I'm gonna waste my time with it, this is really the developers fault for putting such a garbage achievement in the game.

I decided to do it again quickly, I remembered all the stuff I read in the guide and made a save in the theater control room this time. The whole thing took me about an hour and 17 minutes to do again, don't lose heart if you made the same mistake I did.

I thankfully took a break before kicking the wall after the Derby. I did the last part, failed and didn't unlock it. So I check on here to feel so dead inside. I don't feel like doing this all over again, so I deleted my saves and reloaded the synced save. Thankfully back to 77% just before entering his safe room.

Lady luck was with me today..

Also followed steam guide, was maybe halfway through credits, did the delete saved data and my last sync to xbox live was an autosave at 80%, which was right as you open the safe, thanks accurate Bob!

You can save game in front of the truck before you grab his cane.
If you miss this achievement, you can get it within 2 mins after restarting in front of the truck. There isn't much to memorize during this short segment either.

I just got Platinum on PS4, and now i'm gonna speedrun the game again on Xbox as i memorized all i think.

Guess I'm SOL for having no older saves to go back to, and have to redo this whole damn game to get this.

What happens when you get shot at do you die and restart in the plane?
For me he always missed so I'm not sure what happens. Move once towards the ladder. He'll shoot. Just stay still. Then click on the ladder as soon as he finishes shooting.

It didn't pop for me either but I realised that I had actually died while I was stuck on the front of the truck (with the cane) which also invalidates the achievement.

If you have a save from the media room use that. Then do that entire section flawlessly. From media through to when the dude drops into the canyon

Also. Xbox live is having issues so it could be that too.

If you die before defeating Ripburger, load last save to try again. If it's past beyond this point, you'll have to start all over again. The end sequence is limited, so don't waste your time.

For the front of the truck, use your hand to open the engine grate. This will be your opportunity to pop the Rabbit Ragu achievement/trophy where you must put a rabbit into the engine fan. You then have to use your hand on the panel between the engine and the windshield. Ripburger will try to close it with the cane, so grab it immediately, and then use it on the engine. The engine will stall and Ben will go through the engine compartment. Once he emerges in back, use the tire iron on the upper right hose. It may be tough to see, but there's a nut (about two sections) from where the hose is connected. Once you use the tire iron from here, another cutscene starts. Achievement/trophy for "Now Boarding" pops once you're inside the plane.

Once so, use your hand on the ladder once to have Ben walk in front of the truck, which in turn, he'll get shot at. Do this again, to finally climb up into the cockpit. Click on the mid panel. Select Take off, Post take off, Gear, and Raise gear. After a short cutscene, you'll regain control of Ben on the truck.

ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY NOTICE: For the "Looming Seagull" achievement/trophy, go into the truck, click the button under the middle display and press: Main Menu, Defense systems, Machine guns, and Fire.

Again, you must go into the truck cab, click on the button under the mid display, and this time, enter the following: Main menu, Defense systems, Machine guns, Control, and system off to pop the achievement/trophy.

Do the final puzzle without any errors in a single try and rather quick, i.e. not falling into the gorge. Full walkthrough here:

This trophy is a meta-trophy involving a few others before it:
Full Throttle RemasteredHidden TrophyThe Hidden Trophy trophy in Full Throttle Remastered worth 32 pointsContinue playing to unlock this hidden trophy

Full Throttle RemasteredHidden TrophyThe Hidden Trophy trophy in Full Throttle Remastered worth 97 pointsContinue playing to unlock this hidden trophy

(I only included the ones directly related to it, while there are more you can get).

- This is a shortened walkthrough on how to obtain this trophy. This part of the game will actually give you the chance to die should you fail, so you might need to have speed on your side.

When you gain control of Ben in front of Rip's truck:
- Open the engine cover (yellow part of the front of the vehicle)
Ripburger will attempt to close it with his cane.
- Grab Ripburger's cane (repeat the first part if you miss the chance)
- Open engine fan grate
- Use cane on engine fan
- Use tire iron on rightmost fuel line

Inside the Vultures' Base:
- Climb up ladder (x2, since the first attempt will stop you from Rip trying to shoot you)
- Access control panel
- Take-off > Post Take-off > Gear > Raise

Across the gorge:
- Enter the carriage of the truck
- Access the control panel
- Main Menu > Defense Menu > Machine Guns > Control > System OFF

Successfully doing this will get you Can't Beat a Corley AS WELL AS this trophy. If this trophy does not pop at the same time, reload to an earlier point and try again.

(missable)

On the highway, after the factory event, Ripburger will hunt you down with a huge truck. Starting from here, you can die, so save your game just in case.

Open the top panel of the truck, Rip will close it with his cane and you'll need to be very quick to steal his cane. Then open the front grill, use the cane on the fan and you'll be behind Rip. Use your iron tire on the far right fuel line to disconnect it, and after a cutscene you'll be inside the Vulture's rolling aircraft.

Climb up the ladder, use the screen and select : Takeoff > Post-Takeoff > Gear > Raise. After some other cutscenes, Rip will be hanging from a truck's machine gun above the gorge, enter the cockpit of the semi and activate the screen. Select these options : Main Menu > Defense Menu > Machine Guns> Controls. Finally, chose System OFF. If you didn't die, the trophy will unlock. Otherwise, reload your save and try again from the highway!
