This guide is made specifically to address the Dog-Thing boss fight in the second level.
Its first phase is straight-forward: shoot at it until the huskies start glowing orange. This is your indication to burn them. I recommend using Childs as he has a built-in flamethrower. Do it until all the dogs are freed.
The second phase is much more confusing. It will hang from the ceiling with an extra head and shoot lots of acid. You need to shoot the heads immediately after they stop spitting acid. You’ll know if you’ve done it right when the head droops. Keep doing that until the third phase.
It will take on a much more bulbous form, now you need to shoot the yellow bulbs all over its body. Once they’re all gone, it will glow orange, that’s your cue to flamethrower it (if it only deals 1 damage, shoot it a bit until the damage number turns into a fire symbol). I’ve heard this part can bug and the bulbs won’t take damage. If that happens, your only option is to restart the level and do it over again.
