I recommend playing through the player specific tournaments before doing this, it will keep you from playing more games than you need to play and it will unlock all of the mini-games in the process giving you a complete list.
Another way to avoid playing more of this game than you absolutely have to is to keep track of which mini-games you have played. You do not have to win each game type, but merely play each, and this can be done in any mode except practice as the achievement itself states. Here is a list of all of the different mini-games you will need to play once you have them all unlocked:

Just something to add to the above solution. If you cannot stand to play this goddamn awful game and you aren't sure what games are left to play then I found the quickest way to play through all mini games was to set 1 of the AI's on Hard and just press A through the menus.

This made the time on each game reduce dramatically (unless it was a mini game for a set time) and I finally unlocked it about an hour ago >,<

Once you've unlocked all of the mini-games, you should have already played a nice chunk of them. Simply go through in Custom or Mini-Game Frenzy mode and play one match in each game, win or lose it all counts.

To get this achievement you have to play every mini-game. You will play through most of them while doing the main battle achievements for each character. There are all but 6 unlocked when you first start the game, and the others are unlocked by winning a tournament with each of the characters. You can actually get all of these in the online mini-game frenzy mode before the main battle achievements, but that'd be a huge waste of time. I've broken them down as to what games appear on which planets to make it easier to keep track of. Just print this out and mark them off as you clear them & each planet as to not waste time. All 43 games, and the planets they appear. I hope this helps someone.
