Like others I'd tried many times following different youtube videos, etc. When I finally got it was completely different method.

I climbed down into the truck and heading back up i didn't fully hang onto the swinging doors. I somehow had one hand on the door and the other on the inside of the truck. Towards the top I somehow had had myself hanging with both hands on the top of the truck, unlike all my previous attempts where I'd climb onto the swinging door then jumped onto the truck. Weirdest thing is as I was pulling myself up onto the truck (again, both hands on the top of truck itself and no hands on the door) I was slammed by the traffic sign and knocked off... but then the achievement popped. ie. I was never fully on the top of the truck itself.

This achievement was a bit buggy
On the stage Trucks climb down into the truck
Then climb back up
If it doesn't pop go onto the front of the cars roof after

Very easy to unlock.

Jump from the truck you spawn on to the side of 2nd truck, climb to the roof of the 2nd truck and then run to the cab, achievement will unlock.

This was a very glitchy achievement for me to complete. While standing on the inside of the truck. Tried head butting the blue truck side door to get it to open. Once it did, tried climbing out of it. Instead grabbed onto the sides of the inside of the truck. The truck popped 15ft in the air. Went flying with it on the inside. I believe since I was above the other trucks rooftop. Managed to unlock.

Please note, other guide methods mention they had already previously met the achievement criteria and not unlocking. Myself, met the criteria and had to improvise ways to get it to unlock. Am offering an improvised way around it. Although, was not able to recreate the weird jump.

Not really guide but this is the only way I was able to get it.

Tried literally everything and wouldn't pop (Xbox One)

Plugged in my Series S, loaded it up, jumped to the other truck then just fell off and it popped - I assume I'd already met the achievement requirements before it was just glitched and wouldn't pop. So if you don't have it just wait until you get next gen then you'll get it as they wont fix it cus they've never added anything new to the game. Hope I've helped someone

If people are still struggling with this achievement. Here is what I think you have to do. You first have to get inside the container, from there work your way back up and then go to the roof of the truck and lay down pressing B.

I tried many things and in the end it work only going inside the container first. So I think that's mandatory to do before going on the roof of the truck.

Problems getting up the truck again? Try to get your way up via the containerdoors when it slams closed. And oh yeah, watch out for the signs on your way up.

Not sure if this will help other people but this is how it unlocked for me.
I did the 'get in the truck achievement' then died.
After respawning I jumped onto the 2 rear doors when closed, climbed back up using + and as soon as I jumped on the roof it unlocked

I did it from the side of the truck instead of the back. Popped right away.

Set game mode = Melee
Wins = 8 (this gives you maximum amount of tries before taking you back to main screen)
Stage = Trucks

The first part of this is getting inside the truck which is an achievement in itself (the In Transit Achievement). Walk over to the back door of the truck and as the doors swing from being open, as they swing close again time it so that you can drop down and grab the inside of the door using / and it will swing you inside the truck, once inside let go. Now climb back out by grabbing the swinging door and climb back onto the roof by holding and press to pull yourself up, then press to grab with the other hand and let go of , the press again to pull yourself up further, then back to and so on until you're back on the roof.

This has been stated in a few posts but just to emphasize it. I was having a lot of trouble 🔓 this achievement. Tried almost all the tips from other guides but nothing worked. I finally got it by climbing down into truck, I spent 20 seconds walking around inside. I then climbed back out avoiding getting hit by any signs. I went to the front of the truck and lied down and finally achievement popped. Best of luck 🤞
