Can confirm. Popped in waves when jumped off the conveyer and climbed the nearby ledge.

Several times I climbed down and pulled myself out. No achievement. Then I went to the conveyor belt and tried jumping to catch the ledge, missed catching fell directly into the fire and died. Achievement unlocked. :shrug:

I kept trying with the railing method, instead of taking them off I would run into them making them fall into the pit along with me and I'd grab the ledge and get out.

I'd fall into the pit sometimes and not grab the ledge, and this resulted in the achievement popping. I'd recommend just running into the rails and not grab the walls. I was jumping out of that thing for almost an hour.

It's a very strange achievement as my friend and I were going for it and we grabbed the debris that was on the belts on either side and chucked a lot of boxes and barrels into the fire and the achievement popped

I think the achievement is overall time spent near the fire during one round, I unlocked a few minutes into a round

I did this on Waves mode and got it right away. I played on Melee for like 10mins and it would never pop.

I must have tried this 30 times across both melee and waves and I cannot for the life of me figure out why I can't get it to pop.

Edit: Bafflingly, I saw a tip in the comments of Maka's guide suggesting uninstalling and re-installing. It then popped on my first attempt.

Tried 15 mins on solo and nothing. Tried 1 min on waves and it popped. Do waves. Keep jumping from conveyor belt to ledge and grabbing and it will pop.

I climbed out of the fire 5-6 times, nothing. But it worked when I started with a second controller and did the jump move off the conveyor belt. Dumb af this one.

For me the trick was to grab with both hands and mashing de A button to jump instead of climbing by holding the A button and exchanging the arms to raise myself up.

Just got this achievement - was trying for over an hour on brawl, solo, with no luck. Turned a second controller on, added a P2 and did the same thing again and got it first try.

Definitely go to Waves mode to do this, it unlocked almost straight away after trying for ages in Solo Melee. Jump off the conveyor, grab the wall and mash A to chamber up 👍

It has nothing to do with what the game-mode is (I personally did it in melee, others suggest gang or waves) and I'm not even convinced that it matters whether you have multiple controllers plugged in or not.

Wagachoochoo's video above worked for me -- that is, jumping from the conveyor to the wall and JUMPING up, not climbing. Not sure if the method matters (climbing vs. jumping).

No one is explaining this properly.

Truth is this game has buggy af achievements.

Oddly enough, the harder achievements I got within a few tries. This one took the longest. I basically dipped myself in fire several times in different spots and used the railing and edges

I tried climbing out of the fire multiple ways and in different locations. I got it to pop instantly by jumping from the conveyor belt, over the fire, and pulling myself up over the railing.

^ This is by far the easier method. Didn't unlock instantly but it was much less effort. I basically jumped the fire after i had knocked down the railing earlier on my first attempt.

So i just spent an hour trying to get this achievement and nothing i did worked. I uninstalled and reinstalled like some suggested and it still didn’t work. Someone mentioned adding a second controller and so i did and first try the achievement popped. I suggest for this achievement just add your second controller in melee and then just run from the conveyor belt and jump and climb out. It took about 3-4 seconds before it popped after I climbed out but this is the only thing that worked for me.

I hate this game so much, especially this achievement. Kept trying solo and with a 2nd player plugged in on melee to do this trying both the hang over the ledge and jumping off the conveyor belt and nothing. Then I tried waves solo and got nothing. I then tried waves with a 2nd controller plugged in and it finally unlocked after the 3rd time of jumping off the conveyor while the 2nd player was getting beaten up by both AIs. May have been a delayed pop from the 1st time I did it, but it was still a pain the ass.

Attempt this after hooking up a second controller/player in the match.

Launch the map Incinerator in local play with a second player. Jump onto the conveyer belt and jump off grabbing onto the centre wall. Then proceed to climb up and out, my achievement popped around 4 seconds after climbing back up. If it doesn't work it may be because you didn't go low enough into the incinerator.

Controls: Hold A to climb upwards while alternating LB and RB to grab onto the wall. Hold B if you wish to descend futher while climbing

Thought I'd make this guide because I spent close to an hour if not more attempting this solo to no avail. Hope this helps you save time!

Agree with Reverand (comment above this). Ages and ages I spent jumping in and climbing out. First time on waves (and I didn't even need to climb out, just grab a railing).

I ran straight to the conveyer belt and jump across to the wall. Climbed up and it popped as I was falling to my doom.

This achievement see as buggy. I do it randomly. Go to Melee, 2 Controller and try many times jump from moving conveyer. Nothing. But I am jump again and achieve not popped. Trying learning controls for this game - up and down on small orange wall with door. Up and down up and down and… achievement is popped after ~2 minutes.

Good to know: I did exactly what is described in a video I found on Youtuube. Achievement didn't pop. After several try, and after 'emerge my self' from the fire, I've been around the area for a couple minutes and the achievement pop while I was nowhere near the incinerator. So just wait a bit if you didn't get it right away.

Just unlocked. Escaped a few times, learned better grabbing climbing as I did. But when I did what MADGTX did - went to the upper-right corner with the loading bay door and warning strip on the floor, it then unlocked.
Perhaps you have to move farther away from the incinerator area after climbing back up for it to count?

Just wanted to leave this here. I practiced for hours trying to get this to pop in the melee game mode. After no avail, I jumped into incinerator but on the waves game mode and got it first try. I was in a party with 4 other people and they all got it unlocked except for me. This is definitely a buggy achievement but waves definitely works !

Go into a waves match solo or with another controller.
Go over to the conveyor belt on the right side.
Run towards the railing and jump over the fire, grab the railing and pull yourself up over the railing.
Achievements should pop within 30 seconds.

Break a section of the railing near the incinerator hazard so that it can be freely accessed. Lay down by pressing and grab the edge of the floor with one hand, then swing over. Climb down some, and then back up. Alternatively, the hazard can be jumped into from the left side conveyor with time to catch the wall and climb out.

You can do this online or offline, either solo or with other players. If playing local, the trophy will only unlock for Player 1. If playing online, each player will individually have to complete the requirements to unlock their trophy. Start up a Melee game and choose the Incinerator stage. In this level, there will be a large incinerator on the lower level which will turn anything that goes into it into a crispy mound of clay. For this trophy, you need to lower yourself into the flames and then quickly pull yourself out.

At the start, make your way to the lower level and stand by the railing just above the flames. Break away one section (hold on to the rail and headbutt it with ) so you have a clear opening. Stand near the edge, but face in the opposite direction. Hold down so your body goes limp and grab the ground with whichever hand is closest to the edge (be sure not to grab onto any extra railing or anything). When you have hold, turn yourself so your body is hanging off the edge. With your free hand, grab a lower section on the wall, then let release your upper hand. You should now be dangling in the flames. You only need to stay in for a second or two so as soon as you have, hold and to pull yourself up and use your free hand to grab onto the ledge again. Keep pulling yourself up and as soon as both feet are on the ground above, the trophy will unlock.
