Hayrots are located in the Autumn Town location of the game. Use the sickle weapon on all the hay stacks in this area. If an enemy is hiding underneath it, continue to attack until the hay falls its head. There is no need to defeat the enemy. Kill these at night or afterdark if you also need the 50 Glomps achievement.

haystacks seem to be 100% chance for them to spawn when its after dark. A good spot to farm them is at the "sewer entrance". Kill the few around there then exit through to top-right section of the map(City road). Sometimes there is a haystack or 2 very close when you enter the city road. Kill and go back top-left to the sewer entrance. Got my 50 kills in like 10 minutes

Hayrots only spawn in Autumn Town. You need to progress the story to unlock the Sickle, which you can use to destroy the hay. This will reveal a Glomp (Glomp Slayer (50G)) for you to attack. Hayrots seem to spawn in larger numbers at night.
