This is pretty challenging and tough. I found the best way was to always try and stick to the course path. There is a slight slalom in the middle which can throw you off. There's also two ramps. The dirt ramp you should slow down as you get to the top. The manually placed ramp is best to avoid. I have added a video from The Hidden Levels to show you better.

Let me say first say I struggle and dislike most timed and racing achievements. Not a complete guide just what worked for me. That said, I got it about my 10th run. Biggest tips I can give is at the very beginning back your car up to gain some more momentum since the timer doesn’t start counting down until the first CP is hit. The biggest issue for me was the first steep hill, because you hit it fast you flip or if you hit too slow it stun locks your car. I slowed about half way, finger off the throttle trigger, didn’t brake or jump once in my race and seemed to be the best way I found. Of course staying directly on the track helps, the only time I advise not is the second ramp you come across avoiding completely, I went to the left of it and came back to the left. Not a lot but hope this helps some! Good luck
