How to unlock the Iron Man achievement in Gatling Gears - Definitive Guide

Simply complete the very first level in the game in solo or co-op on any difficulty level to get this easy achievement. The first part of the level is a tutorial on how to play and then the second half has a few enemy sections but it is very easy.

I bought the game through the Gatling Gears "unlock full game" menu. Because I loaded the game while it was still a demo, I was unable to get any achievements until I quit back to the Xbox dashboard and reloaded the game. Others may have the same problem I had with this easy achievement.

I bought it after downloading the demo - but didn't hit the "unlock" button to do it - yet this didn't unlock for me - I'll try going back into the game and see how it works.

Did any of you guys figure out how to unlock this achievement? I've beat that level 4 times already, and cleared my system cache too.

Well, totally forgot I had an issue with this, the solution is gonna be ugly (and this entire game should be flagged glitchy for it). I had purchased this game on one 360, and was playing it on a second 360 upstairs. It would never unlock on the second 360, but eventually I tried on the original and it worked. Magic!

For those having trouble unlocking this, I had experienced the following:

I bought this a few months before buying a new Xbox console. I used the transfer cable / license transfer upon setting up my new system. I noticed that no achievements were unlocking for this and this would play in trial mode without being connected to internet. I had to select download again from the download history in account settings from the dashboard. It only took a few seconds to re-download so that this game would work offline. Once I did that, I replayed the first level and it unlocked. I also cleared the system cache just to be safe. I didn't delete my game save.

Make sure this unlocks first so you don't play through the harder achievements again.

I've been having trouble as a few also did, and after digging around, it seemed that someone at Vanguard games noticed it too.

Then someone noted the solution may be tied to the console it was first bought on. I've just tried it and it does work. Seems like this game's achievements are buggy in that regard.

I unlocked the full game at the end of the trial. I had to delete my savegame off the console and the achievement unlocked after i started a fresh campaign and completed the bootcamp mission.

This achievement is gained through campaign progression. This will unlock once you beat the first area in the prologue (Bootcamp).

Bootcamp is the very first level. It is enough to complete it on any difficulty level in co-op or alone and the achievement will unlock.
